Without knowing the wording in the contract then impossible to say. If it says before last game in competition Barcelona are involved in, then he can go for free. If it says last Barcelona game, or 10th June specifically, then he can't, or at least has to negotiate it.


Regardless Barcelona have an unhappy player on their hands to deal with. Furthermore, this is their best ever player, a true legend. Damaging his legacy via a sour exit benefits nobody on their end.

Think about it, it can’t give an exact date as the contract was signed 4 years ago. The season can shit dates every year give or take a week so there’s no chance there’s a specific date.

Same here, I was glued to the news yesterday searching for updates. Same again today no doubt.

I think in khaldoons interview just gone he mentioned that the stadium expansion had been put on ice due to not knowing how things would be going forward regarding people being allowed back into stadiums etc? I agree we should crash on now but financially it’s a lot (around £80m I think the south stand was) and obviously the stadiums are only going to be on seriously reduced capacities for the short and medium term at best

I'm 36 years old and I've been going to bed crossing my fingers and praying lmfao.

This is one of the only times where I am not even thinking about where/how he will fit into the team or what will be his impact. Just love being the club associated with this magician if this comes through. Sometimes trophies make you happy, but this time it is just the thought of seeing him in sky blue.
I know it's a results game eventually but I really don't care for now.

If you increase the capacity though you can have a third so more people can still come next season, personally I think after winter they will let all fans back, if football teams start going to the wall there will be serious problems for the government.

I’m not sure but the president is on camera last year stating Messi can leave Barca in his last year
