smoke And mirrors..... he’s going to get a percentage of the CFG

That would make more sense financially and for FFP. But it can only be a small % as the owners recently sold 15% off with the Chinese owning another 15% so anything like that means they no longer would have a controlling share in the group. I suspect 1% or even a stake in NY or City directly.

Right, who first reported his Dad going to Barca for a meeting on Wednesday?

Someone go find that journalist and trace back what they say about the transfer in general.

Jorge flying to Barcelona doesn't mean he's going to Fc Barcelona, he is merely coming to represent his client on his move to Manchester City. He will have to be present for the medical with Dr Cugat and his contract signing etc
On a personal level probably there to help his son, son's wife and 3 grandsons to move homes to another country.

So stuff can happen then without meetings.

City getting everything lined up. Present FCB with a fait accompli. They then have a choice:

Invite an offer of c. £100m or see Messi leave on a free and receive nothing.

That's assuming that this contract really does not present City/Messi with problems. That isn't clear.

1% of 4.8 billion valuation would only net 48million. He’d probably get somewhere around 750k a week? There’s no way we give him like 5% of the CFG.

Can we use this for other players?

Like 0.3% of CFG to Sterling and etc? To reduce our wage bill...

In the end the whole squad would be owners, and our wage bill would go down to zero.

When fans will be allowed to attend games ?
Provisionally I believe October has been discussed. One hurdle ahead: the return of schools and universities which might be awkward for Manchester in particular given the high % of students.
