Messi might well have been poorly advised but he might well have believed them, that doesn't mean that he led City on he might well have in totally good faith said "I want to join" simply because it might not be the case that things are how he believed doesn't mean that he acted in bad faith.

I actually believe this. For Messi to make a statement claiming he's made up his mind is good news for us.

It looks like he's leaving. He would look like a fool to come out and say "I'm staying for one more season".
