Messi might well have been poorly advised but he might well have believed them, that doesn't mean that he led City on he might well have in totally good faith said "I want to join" simply because it might not be the case that things are how he believed doesn't mean that he acted in bad faith.

Agreed. But everything would have gone so smooth had he told the president that he was going to leave and make a press conference to state his case. The president would have likely asked him to come off as thankful to him in order to avoid him being blamed; and I'm certain he would already be at City.

Speaking of embarrassing situations, how does the law firm that put together Messi's contract look now that they misguided him on his ability to leave when the paperwork clearly indicated June 10th. Did his attorneys and Messi think City was stupid ? City was never going to let him put on a Jersey pending a potential legal battle.

Guardiola must have the biggest case of Blue balls you've ever seen ! no pun intended.

You’re really not doing yourself the favours you think you are with these replies.

I am not from Liverpool. Why would I lie about that? There's a reason why I have a VPN.

Besides, I'm not even to troll. Go back to my post history and see I'm actually behind Messi to Man City.

I'm not here to troll. Go back to my previous posts. I'm actually behind Messi coming to City.

And I'm obviously not a dipper if I'm not even from Liverpool.
I believe he is a Barça fan.

I would guess he goes with an username being the succession of the same letter in another forum.

Hopefully it’ll be

i don’t think there’s anything clear about this. Just because his lawyers advised him their opinion that he could leave doesn’t mean they’re wrong. It’s the possibility of future legal action from Barca that muddies the waters, leaving no party clear as to the ramifications on future contracts.
