Phil Foden to leave England camp

Yeah they are, thats exactly how it works.

14 days glasshouse is nothing to a serving soldier, the worrying part of that piece was that 4 of them tested positive for cocaine.

Should probably ask the lads in the armed forces then, I've fucked up many times, as have 90% of lads at 20 year old

We certainly did ; )
But he has been coached and taught the pitfalls that come being a roll model for hundreds of thousands .
We didn't have the opportunity he has had with his gifts it's a totally different and privileged life he lives .
Let's face it though he has probably the same amount of brain cells as the average squadie and a lot more money we all think we are clever and invincible at his age.
Still acted like a tit

He’s been a dick, been found out and is paying the price.

He’ll get a two week fine from the club and that will be that.

If he wasn’t such a good player he’d be moved on by the club but he is so he’ll make a grovelling apology written by a PR consultant and that will be the end of it.

This. It’s mad that some are defending him. He’s a cheat and a flagrant flouter of the covid guidelines. What is there to defend?

Then what’s also mad is that some are questioning why people feel so let down by it. He is the poster boy of our academy, the player we all relate to the most. Or thought we did. To discover that he’s a bellend is genuinely gutting. I feel deflated by it, I don’t think that’s an unusual reaction to this.

So you're done with him now? He's a 'bellend' until the day he's hangs his boots up. People aren't defending the mistake, or whatever you want to call it, they're defending this idea that he's now a **** or a bellend forever cause he's made a mistake.

This thread is pure voyeurism. It's like when Princess Di died and all those twats laid wreaths at Buckingham Palace - the same twats that had hungrily devoured every detail of her life provided by the papparazzi for the previous 10 years. It's titillation of the masses through gossip and an opportunity for the self-righteous to signal their own moral virtue on here. We pay him to run around and kick a ball to a world class standard. If you want moral virtue try Jesus, and I mean the one in the bible, not the No9 shirt.

I sincerely hope we are not witnessing the start of a Michael Johnson/ Stephen Ireland debacle

theyve been done over by a pair of slappers worlds full of them. But they are idiots to allow such women to do them over like this

agree totally.

Hardly all over the pages of the press. Look at how the army treats it as well. Those lads have spent time in jail, 4 lost their jobs for cocaine and their careers probably effected for life. But yes, good on you lads for being lads. Foden will be back playing fo City in no time and all we can ask for is he learns from it and gets his head down and sorts out any shit at home.

For me the disapointment is how it effects City. More crap for Pep to deal with, more shit for the clubs image, bad preperation for the new season which for me is one of our most critical in recent years and more than anything, the lad who i thought was going to be our shining star this season has just put a major doubt over that.

It does seem a strange way for the FA to do it if they wanted to be in a fully secured isolation bubble. But that's no excuse; the players should be professional enough not to actively break whatever rules have been put in place.

Do you think it might be a sting maybe?

Not done with him at all, but it’s a long road back for him to repair his reputation and his relationship. It’s disgusting what he’s done to his girlfriend and son.

Amazing the spin that some blues are doing here. He's royally fucked up. He's represents Manchester City football club and England. His first ever call up hes got some girls back to his room.

It's breaking protocol for Covid and also he has a girlfriend and a child at home.

It's not being a "lad" it's fucking sad. I hope he learns his lesson.
100% agreed, obviously Foden has a lot of growing up to do. Very stupid thing to do and let's hope he can put this behind him and focus on what he is good at being a footballer.

Were you hiding in the wardrobe? I didn't realise anyone knows 'what he's done'

His girlfriend's feelings about all this are between her and him, particularly as not a single one of us on here knows what actually happened in that room.

I just find it strange that so many on here are acting like they've been personally dishonoured by someone they don't know potentially cheating on another person they don't know. It's shit, but it happens every single day.
Its like an agony aunts column in a womans magazine here.
Or something in RAWK with people looking to be offended.
