Angelino

He hasn't been sold. He's been loaned with a very loose obligtion to buy
Loose obligation?
He played 18 of 19 Leipzig matches since February
and you think he won't be involved in 12 of at least 42 matches now?
It's most probable.
Leipzig are just pushing the cashflow into next year due Covid while we are the bank.

Btw, why are so many comparing apples to oranges? We are in a pandemic, many clubs are in severe financial problems and they don't know for how long, even Leipzig. Don't compare covid to non-covid market conditions when judging City's selling qualities (as a non selling club mind!) if you are adults.

100%. Whilst we're not a selling club, we're the absolute worst when it comes to selling players. Sane we barely made a profit on. Danilo I'm guessing was only such a high fee so we get the money instantly to buy Cancelo (like Pjanic & Arthur). Why are we putting in such weird clauses like must play X games for Angelino? He's good enough to play a Champions League semi final for them, but we're allowing minimum game clauses?

Jokes aside about still spending the Coutinho money, Liverpool have rebuilt the team from that sale. 40 mil for Solanke & Ibe is mental. Chelsea made 100mil+ on Hazard and he only had 1 year left. They made ridiculous money from Oscar, Matic & Morata, who are bang average players, giving them 150mil+.

But when it gets to Koulibaly, we're being pulled from pillar to post by someone we hate dealing with. He wants to leave, has had an average season, they need to balance the books from signing Osimhen, and they haven't reached the Champions League. We should be all over this. Surely we have other targets in place? 40mil+ for Ake when Bournemouth have just been relegated? We just can not negotiate.

It's all well and good talking about our wage structure, but I'd rather the players get the money they deserve & we make the money back by not selling good players for way below market value.
Probably one of the most sensible posts ever posted on here.

The clause for X amount of games is a load of bollocks, he is gone.

40m for Solanke and Ibe is mental but we don't have the world media convincing the rest of the league that they were top talents. Bournemouth are fucking shocking with buying players also.

Hazard was a world class player and Real were desperate, Chelsea named a price. Sane is off the back of an ACL and has been good for about 18mths since we signed him.

Oscar, went to China on a ridiculous deal. Not much more to say.
Matic, Mourinho loves him and Chelsea wanted to fuck him over just to prove a point.
Morata, Simeone loves him and had money to burn.

We have never been in a position where we have people who want our players because quite simply we don't sell any of the ones that are any good and the younger ones aren't touted across the media as being the best ever. The dippers did such a good job with Ibe that even their own fans believed he was better than Sterling.

By all accounts there is nothing going on with Koulibaly, we haven't even made an offer. We are just playing games with ADL.

Ever considered that Upamecano doesn't want to join?

He might not do, but we have not even tried to include in the deal, nor have we even entertained the thought, it has always been to get the money for Angelino from them that was negotiated last year, the year we needed a Kompany replacement and we didn't even make a move or noise for him then or to have "first dibs on him"

How do you know ?

ITK I take it?

Very good point. Leipzig are exactly the kind of club that will get hit hard by Covid. + Angelino has had patchy form - all buying clubs no that. We should get what we can and move on.

crazy in what we are doing with angelino, simply is it pep does not fancy him and we keep loaning him until pep leaves
he must be a better option in keeping him than playing a cover player or cancelo

ok we ake and mendy but mendy is never fit and ake is a centre back, so again its looking like we are going into a new season without a proper left back or hanging all our hopes on mendy
