Leicester City (H) Post Match Thread

One of those games for me that!

3 pens all stonewall
Missed an easy chance to make it 2 nil.

They scored2 good goals.

lots of injuries / missing players.
It’s only 3 points

How they recover is important. We need to batter the next team. Another defeat unthinkable.

Thanks for your input.
But then I wonder, why did we stop running? Were we tired? Did we think the game was already won due to our dominance?
Maybe the squad collectively mentally lost it's enthusiasm and dedication as Kyle really needlessly gave Leicester their penalty?

In my opinion, you in fact needed to be formidable to beat us yesterday, based on the first 30 minutes. But then... well, we all know what happened.
I just can't get my head around a collapse such as this. And it should be avoidable!
You must have been watching another game to me. We were not formidable in the first 30 minutes. We scored a good goal and should have had a second from a free kick. How many other chances did we make. Leicester sat back for 30 minutes, weighed us up and then started to play. We lost because we had multiple injuries, players were playing out of position and as a team, we defended like St Barts Junior School second eleven. We have been losing goals like this for the past season and Pep gets paid big bucks to stop that happening. He is not making a very good fist of it.

For such a ''small club'' , the entire social media is ablaze for 24 hours about net spend the moment we lose a game. Same tw*ts that pretend they wouldn't care about us when we win.

As soon as we concede or lose, everyone gathers like flies around dogshit yet stays quiet when we score or win. A lot of jealousy going on.

Agreed.

However, this is going to be a very strange season and everyone (including the dippers) are dropping points this time round.
you agreed, thanks. the point here was about our shortcomings, correct? We are currently out of control.
However? That's someone else's problem. We can hope but we can't rely on a maybe. Saying it's alright to drop points because other teams will as well this year is. I don't know what that is.

Painful display yesterday but with Dias joining us and Laporte getting back to fitness, we won’t see many more of those games. I have a good feeling going forward but LB needs sorting no doubt.

£80m? Good but not that good

He was worth it then but he’s worth a crap ton more now. Unlike John Stones. And the trophies he played a huge role in delivering are undoubtedly worth a further crap ton in sponsorship deals.

Given the crap ton we have wasted on players like Mendy, Stones, Mahrez, Rodri etc etc etc in the last few years, I’d swap the lot of them for a Tardis.

If Leicester did this to us I cant help the feeling that if we faced Bayern in CL in August they would done same or worse than what they did to Barcelona front of the whole world watching.

Mendy should have been shown the door 18 months ago. Who on gods earth finds these awful left backs ?
who does the buying is it pep. because we have spent a fortune on lemons. and we will be lucky to get anything for them .

Hopefully yesterday will be the wake up call the players need and it will give them a bit of extra fight. Diaz also looks decent from what I've seen. Early days yet. We go again.

Mahrez's game is better suited and is technically the better player. Again pace is Sane's only stand out feature

He 100% plays more for the team than Mahrez. I like watching Mahrez as he is one of the few that plays with flair and does the unexpected. There is no denying he’s a very selfish player though. Put Sané through and he picks out the right pass most of the time Mahrez will often be greedy and mess up great opportunities. Yesterday at 1-1 was a prime example. We’d nicked the ball back and a simple 10 yard pass would have put Foden clean through. Instead Mahrez went alone and screwed his shot wide from outside the box. This is hardly a rarity with him and was at crucial stage of the match.
