The only time I ever got assaulted with a weapon by one of Her Majesties Constabulary was outside Bolton Trinity Street Station by an Police Sergeant who gave me a whack across the back of my legs with his signalling stick.It was after Bolton beat us in a League Cup game 3-0 in 1971. The twat.

Oh and it was that long ago that the copper was a member of Lancashire Constabulary as GMP didn't exist then.
