Looking on the bright side, I suppose this means Dick van Dyke can keep his "never been dribbled past" trophy for the rest of the season at least..!

Every cloud and all that..!
The other positive from their point of view is that they will have only conceded eleven goals in the PL this entire season with VVD on the pitch. This will be a remarkable achievement, and will serve to confirm how brilliant he really is.

There is nothing wrong with being happy because a key player of a close rival is injured. The happiness does not stem from any personal issue with the particular player. It's just that we would rather see our rival without that player so they lose more. I think its only natural and anyone saying otherwise is just kidding themselves. People on here who are happy that VVD is out aren't happy because they have anything against VVD or that they wish him to be unwell but they would want Liverpool to drop points. It would be the same if it were the other way around.

I know it is somewhat hypocritical posting about social media whilst having a go at social media...but here goes.

Ever since the end of the game I have been amazed at the sheer lunacy/stupidity and hypocrisy that gets posted across all the different social media platforms (and Yes I certainly include RAWK in that). It really is amazing the crap that people post, the old keyboard warrior syndrome...indeed the Sean Astley one sums it up perfectly.
At least if you were on your Raleigh Budgie you had the balls to say it to their faces!
You would think that people would realise that once it is posted online it is out there for all to see...save for the many posts on here that were removed by the mods to save individuals blushes and to protect the good name of this board. Fair play to Ric & the mods on that.

As to the actual event, well I fear that VVD may never get back to the level he was, after all Alf Inge never did after the assault by Keane. But we can but hope that he has a speedy recovery.
As has been said before, City were dealt the blow of losing Laporte and now the test will be as to how Liverpool deal with it. Where pep dropped Fernandinho back I wonder if Klopp (Bingo ---I do love that one) will do the same with Fabinho or go into the market in Jan.....personally I hope it is the latter option
Don’t forget Sane as well who was injured in the same way in the Community Shield. No Sane or Laporte last year.

I feel sorry for VVD as he comes across as one of the nicer dipper players
I remember 5 or six games unbeaten into his very season and he was giving it out large in the main back pages about the Dippers outright winning the Quadruple. The very next game, they were shocked out of the Carabao.

His look of utter dismay in his face when the Balloon door winner was announced, as he genuinely thought he had won it with a canter. His "dead eyed" Hendo stare during the farcical guard of honour. (Alisson was the only player that clapped and acknowledged our players)

He's swallowed the dipper kool-aid too.

Has the ever been such an overreaction to an injury? Not least an injury that clearly wasn’t intentional.

Pickford wasn’t coming out to clatter VVD, at the time he didn’t know about the offside, he came to block the ball and overshot his attempt, it was clumsy and reckless but he’s not intentionally trying to give away a penalty by clattering him.

Go back to last August in the community shield, TAA intentionally fouls Sane that ends his season before it’s begun. I’m not suggesting he meant to cause that kind of damage but the foul was intentional and that’s the risk you run when you intentionally foul somebody which is why his foul on Sane was 10 times worse than the Pickford challenge yet there was no mass outcry then was there?

Yeah just read his statement yesterday that was full of self-important shite like ‘god’s will’ etc. the guy is a tit. When a player normally gets injured they might post a tweet saying ‘rehabilitation starts now, I’ll be supporting the boys’ or some shit, not a page long monologue that read like someone had died or been diagnosed with a terminal illness. He believes his own hype and at 29 he’s won 2 major honours in his career. Thank god Kompany remained humble despite winning 12 major honours (10 with City, 2 with Anderlecht). It’s embarrassing that Van Dick has bought in to all this shite.

He's some footage of Sean Astley in action at the derby, watch out Pickford! In the words of Danny Dyer "proper nawty"
