Ufortuntely Greater Manchester is up for a fourth straight day since this row started. So the percentage of cases in the NW total rose again.

After a week of falling numbers they are starting to look quite worrying.

For the firt time outside the catch up data days when all those extra cases were added GM has topped 2000 cases today. One tenth of the UK total.

At 2062.

Thats a near 50% increase over the weekend. And more than double where GM was 10 days ago.

If individuals feel they’re being crippled financially I somehow doubt they’ll care.
We all should.

We're not going through all this just to piss off people in the north. It's happening to save lives.

Just closing your eyes to the reality of it isn't going to save lives or help people financially.

Have they gone into T3 ? I’m layout out with something and not put the news on

Four GM boroughs over 200 again today and several others not far below. Nobody below the 130s today.

We have had a very tough past few days in this county.

Doesn't really help control a deadly virus though.
Neither does closing the hospitality industry when it isn’t proven that the rise in cases is down to that industry. MANY gyms, coffee shops and restaurants have ZERO cases!

1,400 people die on average in this country every day anyway. About 17 people die on average every day falling down the stairs or off a chair at home.
Remind me again when was the last time we had to build Nightingale hospitals for fear of the exponential growth in deaths from falling down the stairs?

To say yours is a lame argument is an insult to lames.

Why does it have to be proven.

At some stage we either accept that other people have more information, more knowledge and more resources to manage the virus or we just give up and everyone does as they please.

Wonder if they'll have their conference at the GMEX any time soon. Although they'd probably enjoy that to see the result of their handiwork.

My only hope is that the money that they were prepared to spent is spent, but they're looking for ways to do it without the council involved.

If so (I'm not confident) it should have been made obvious, cause there's a whole lot of anger out there at the moment.

Joint statement from 5 different pub chains at the weekend stated that of 8 million visits to their 860 pubs (presumably since pubs reopened in early July) across Greater Manchester, the North West, and North Wales there hasn’t been a single case of Covid traced back to any of their pubs!
