Show a bit of empathy ffs. Some people battle with depression and comfort eating is their go to, which might put a smile on their face at the time but ultimately contributes to longer term damage and suffering. It's a vicious circle but this 'lazy and greedy and shouldn't let themselves get to that state' is an absolutely sickening way to talk about people. What's easy to you might not be so easy to someone else.
Exactly, well said. I am trying to lose weight but not being able to walk, coupled with over 50% muscle wastage in my arms (and worsening), makes it a very slow process.

Daily Covid admissions into NW hospitals from 1 October to 23 October

128, 122, 130, 208, 141, 185, 145, 178, 180, 177, 209, 220, 244, 223, 258, 196, 272, 276, 230, 241, 252, 243, 275

25, 550 have been admitted with Covid from 19 March when data was first recorded.
Can you clarify? Are these people that were admitted to hospital because they have Covid19, or are they people who were admitted to hospital for other reasons and then were tested and found to have the virus? Ta

Tesco in Wales not selling sanitary products as not essential?

We’ve lost our fucking minds

The Welsh government are nuts. What extended risk is there from somebody walking down 1 or 2 extra aisles for booze of children's clothes etc? Surely if somebody is already in a supermarket there's little impact for them to use aisles with non-essential items. It would actually spread out the footfall reducing risk of the virus spreading.

They do seem to be 'jobsworths' on steroids...
Takes the spotlight off from our govt for five mins however...

Yeah, it can't be easy, and must play a part on mental health which again I point out is a vicious circle that people can find themselves stuck in for a variety of reasons. Good luck to you, and don't let anyone make you feel ashamed because frankly there is nothing for you to feel ashamed about.

You can buy booze in supermarkets in Wales. Where was it said that you cant? The tweet put up about the sanitary products has gone as well, dont know what the source for that was because that is bollocks as well.

What's the flu vaccine situation, anyone have any insight? My work have got me a voucher to have a free flu jab, but it's been unavailable to book for weeks online via Lloyds pharmacy.

I feel a bit guilty having it anyway to be honest. If it's short should I be leaving it and letting the more vulnerable have the chance? Both my kids have had the vaccine via school.

And knowing all this, what would your advice be to your mum or anyone else?
I know what mine would be. I certainly wouldnt be blaming catching a highly contageous virus on someone who hasnt shut a social club.
I'm sorry mate, but she should be staying in. I am almost reluctant to post this, as I know you're gonna be pissed off with me, but there are fucking dickheads about like the couple you spoke about. They could potentially kill your mum.
She cant control the actions of idiots, so please just tell her to stay in.
I hope she makes a full recovery blue.
I told her before this happened that she shouldn’t be going there, don’t worry..

I agree that she shouldn't be there and she couldn’t have been if Manchester had gone into T3 when asked...

The sanctions are there to protect the people who are doing the right thing and also the stupid people who are not

The Labour leadership trying to please everybody and acting on the orders of Captain Hindsight I’m convinced of it... .... They can’t possibly risk offending the shops they are forcing to close for no reason who also sell the things they are blocking from sale ... this lockdown is farcical when neighbouring counties just over the border close to us are not in lockdown...

Coming soon Covid test £120 at a Boots near to you, results in 12 minutes pity track and trace can't do that, could have something to do with £120.
