it was truly shocking and I wouldn’t be surprised by his age and state if he isn’t in a higher risk group - uphill struggle as it’s a board game for a lot of peopleDid anyone else see that fucking idiot on tonight's news. Was being interviewed and admitted to going to a neighbouring area to put a bet on and have a pint because he cannot do that in his area. The interviewer said he shouldn't be doing that and asked him did he think the rules were clear.
Fuckwits response, yes they are clear but there there to be broken.
We have no chance.
You're making the assumption's that: -In fact we need to isolate and infect healthy teenagers and young adults en masse, who do not have underlying health conditions.
Some will die.
Some will become very ill.
But they will do so anyway as the virus runs amock.
The number of lives saved will be enormous and our economy will suffer much less damage.
It is a numbers game and you can't stop young people being young people.

Indeed.it’s a pity the virus doesn’t kill them off
Quite amazing how many break em and then post the rule breaking on social media and get loads of likes! These are not teenagers either.Nothing surprises me but there is a huge amount of people with this attitude. There’s a societal culture in this country where people think it’s cool to break rules, people think it’s cool to be against any form of authority. They don’t seem to care that breaking these rules kills people.
Let's just say our government would be fucking useless at steering a supertanker.Let’s hope it’s soon... we’re locked down in Wales and it would make sense to do it nationwide... it didn’t seem logical to do it in isolation but now the numbers do seem to justify the move but I fear it’s too late
What we are seeing is a train wreck in slow motion. ...
we are going to see a big spike in deaths again in the over 60's, but it will take a few weeks for this to percolate through. For them to get infected, get ill, go into hospital, go into ICU and then die. It's probably 4 to 6 weeks from now that the idiotic behaviour of far too many people is going to be truly and horribly realised.
This is actually a pretty tame virus - it's just that our immune systems have never encountered anything like it before. You're making the assumption's that: -
1. The virus can't mutate (which it both can and does do - more when there's more people infected).
And
2. That contracting the virus makes you immune going forwards (which we already know isn't true due to the number of re-infections).
I'm not claiming to have any of the answers but to carry out a mass experiment, involving deliberately killing people in hope of a beneficial outcome, would IMO only seem wise if it was supported by science rather than that nobend Trump.
The only science that makes sense is control. I never understand why people think we have to get herd immunity and let people die or instead lock the whole country down. The only reason we have ever had to choose between these two is because the government and its system of controlling the pandemic is a shambles. You're making the assumption's that: -

COVID-19 is not a tame virus. It isn't lethal to most but it's infectivity is very high and that's what makes it dangerous. This is actually a pretty tame virus - it's just that our immune systems have never encountered anything like it before.
Most of the deaths are down to Cytokine Storm due to our immune systems going barmy. If it had encountered something similar beforehand it would be able to deal with it.
I didn’t see that but fuck me that’s demoralising. It leaves me in complete and utter despair. People just don’t care until their family are dying. Then they’ll blame the government. Don’t get me wrong the government should take a huge portion of the blame, but on average, the general public in this country have been a disgrace. It’s not even a minority. It’s now most people. Nobody gives a shit.Did anyone else see that fucking idiot on tonight's news. It is only lethal because our immune systems have never encountered anything like it before. It's clever in the way it lowers interferon levels that disrupt tne defence mechanisms, but once you have Memory T cells the body can deal with anything similar and so far non of the mutations have been to the protein spike that breaks into our cells - the thing that changes regularly with colds and flu.COVID-19 is not a tame virus. It isn't lethal to most but it's infectivity is very high and that's what makes it dangerous.
That fact it only kills around 1% is irrelevant if the entire population gets it because that's 700,000 deaths....

Man up, it is not forever , other generations have coped with worseLife is shit - what has the world come to when half the country want us confined to our homes. We aren’t living anymore we are just existing.
