Jack Grealish

As for the cost. Not less than £75 million I'd imagine. He's a decent player there's no doubt about it , he has always looked the part so why wait to show an interest. The kid at Birmingham was likely worth a punt last summer as well.
If you mean Bellingham, not a prayer he would have come here.Like Sancho his ambition/lack of patience meant he wanted first team football. We cant even get our own kids on our bench.

Grealish instantly improves our 11,not many players can do that.

Lol, this is the media wishing a big move rather than us being interested , dave to this poser, yeah right , ridiculous, plus he would block phil

Think he's pulled his socks up (not literally, unfortunately) this season after his foolishness during lockdown.
He's a much more rounded player and grafts like fuck. He would be a great addition to the team.

He proves how difficult it is to buy the right young prospect.
A few years ago people were saying he was no better than Slopes, or Garcia, or Barker. -)
And had a terrible attitude.

2 years too late. Bang there in front of our eyes and only now when the price is ludicrously high are we interested.
Mind boggling.
Spot on, I was one of the few on Bluemoon banging on about his ability. Yes he was a bit if a tosser at the time but his ability was second to none.

He's gone from being very underrated to very overrated on here.

A good player in great form, but an instant improvement to our first XI? No chance. Not better than Phil or Raz on the wing and he's shown nothing to suggest he could play as an 8 in our system. Would rather have Phil, Bernie or even Gundo there (seriously).

Give me Aouar any day. Cheaper, younger, better.

Given Maguire was 80m and Pogba 89m theres absolutely no way any **** is getting Grealish for 75m.

All about opinions but i think he's better playing wide than all of the above. As for playing more through the middle, his ability suggests he could handle that too.

Not sure about the Aouar comparison,as i haven't seen him play.

How is he a better winger than raheem, what are you saying. You like Grealish, no problem with that but you can’t say he is a better winger than raheem.

As for through the middle, no one knows cause he is mostly played out wide

Thought he was excellent tonight for England. He feels like the type of player who will play even better with higher quality players around him who are on his level. Would be happy to see him in a City shirt in the summer.

Why is there a need to bash Foden to praise Grealish?

I've now heard this twice (Just now again on Ian Cheesman's pod after earlier in the week on Football Weekly).

People are losing their minds in general about Grealish IMO.

Has he performed very well? Yes. In fantastic form. Season is long.

When I hear he's a more rounded player than Foden or just the general mood about him it becomes rather striking and hot-take-ish.

Before the COVID/Iceland incident Foden was being hailed by all for his form and he's competing with far better players to get games than Grealish.

I am not down on Grealish. He's showing to be class. I'd love to have him, sure, but let's see how the season goes.

I need more evidence.

People ask for more evidence but that’s why we spend big on every transfer. Grealish will already go for that in the circumstances, but sometimes you have to trust your gut.

Manè is a good example, he was 1 in 3 at Saints, but you could see he had talent, somebody took a chance and now he’s 1 in 2 and fantastic. Nobody can say for certain what Grealish would be like here, but if we’re only ever going to wait for finished articles we’ll fall behind IMO.

It's simple....he's far more consistent,he's more direct,he causes the opposition more problems and he retains the ball far better. With Grealish there is,more often than not,an end product.

That's not to say,we couldn't play both, and get the benefit of such,in our set up.

Come on surely even you don't really believe that first sentence you just wrote. I mean the only part of that sentence that could ring remotely true is that he's more direct with the ball but everything else is just not true if you're being objective about it.

Like someone said earlier he's a good player who's started the season in great form but let's not get ridiculous now. last season his team barely survived relegation on the last day and he was nothing special that season suddenly he should be no1 target and a 75million player, you can't make it up.

How are people still suggesting Sterling has little or no end product?

Sterling is on a different level to Grealish. What Grealish is doing now, Sterling was doing as a teenager for the scousers.

Sterling has been incredibly consistent for the last 3 years. In fact, he's the only player in our squad except for Ederson who has performed well across the last 3 seasons with no major injuries or rough years. He's got 133 goals and assists (including penalties he's won which were scored) since the start of the centurions season. 133. In 3 and a bit seasons. That is ridiculous end product for someone who causes the opposition less problems than Grealish.
