VAR - 2020/21

The football authorities like controversy. It gets coverage for their game. Sepp Blatter even said as much as a reason for not bringing in VAR in the first place.

Let's be honest, it could easily be done properly, but they have no interest in that.

Reading David Cameron’s autobiography final chapter. Taken me an age to read his book.
Fuck me, that boring **** would send a glass eye to sleep, lend me the book; )

On answering your question, yeah absolutely. Football fans who attended games are sick of VAR in the majority I'd say. If we keep on paying to attend and not showing our collective frustration as supporters then it's time to show our feelings or stop attending. Covid has stopped fans going for now but unless football becomes more enjoyable and affordable, then plenty won't go back to games to complain. I'm not too arsed going back right now. It's much easier watching on TV. At least I get to know what controversial VAR decisions are about, unlike being at a game without a clue as to what has gone on half of the bent decisions they come up with.

In all seriousness it is too important an issue to let go. We can’t lose the natural joy of celebrating a goal.
Some off the rules need amending but going back to pre VAR not for me because at least we can all see the blatant cheating, and the piss poor officiating that goes on..
Me I would like to see fan protesting about, getting change ie like rugby you hear what there saying, and them being accountable with after match interview.
More transparency..

In a parallel universe VAR turned over the decision to disallow the perfectly legitimate goal Sane scored against Liverpool. City went in 2:0 up at half time and went on to win the game! I think VAR needs a few tweaks but I don't want to go back to having perfectly good goals being disallowed.

It’s my firm belief that without VAR, City would have won the CL and the dippers would still be searching for their first PL title, Villa should also have been relegated last season, how the fuck could VAR not spot the Sheffield goal clearly over the line to the naked eye?? that’s how much this shithouse system is manipulating football results to suit, through utter incompetence and corruption.
It’s driving me away from football and a lot of others I know.
I will always be a City fan but the thrill of going to games and celebrating goals has been taken away ... I’m well fucked off with it...

That’s all we want. Exactly as you say, full disclosure as to how and why they came to the decision. Going back through 3 minutes of footage to try and find a reason kit to give a goal is absolutely comical. Get it on the big screen and do it like rugby.
