Dullest Football Since Pearce?

Sometimes it's easy to forget that aside from a handful of truly special moments, there was some pretty dull football under Bobby M too. Many were the matchday threads complaining of sideways passing and playing for a draw, and quite often as soon as we were ahead it was Viera time and we just shut the game down.

Over the last 5 league games we are the joint second in form team on results with the dippers, D2 W3, not bad for a shit team of non runners, it’s stats like this that win leagues. This current goal issue has to end soon ... I’ve had a change of heart this week...it’s ours for the taking

I'm confused. I was just saying that we're playing our dullest football since Pellegrini's last season.
Sorry getting you mixed up with folk saying it is as dull as the Pearce days.
Our football is nowhere near as bad this season as some are suggesting.
Okay it is not as good as 2017 to 2019 but it is up there bar a few seasons from 2011 to 2014.

In all fairness to the post headline, it does say since Pearce not worse than Pearce's turgid brand of anti-football.

Of course, in reality, it isn't anywhere near as bad as that dull affair but also, in reality, we as a club are a long way off that MCFC as well.
Thank you.
I get so tired and frustrated with these Blues that just cannot bear a single negative word said about us, no matter how we are performing. Saying what we see, and expecting this CURRENT team to play to their ability doesn't make us less of a City fan. And, yes we were once in the third tier of English football, however, that was 20 years ago ffs, under different owners and with a completely different set of players. NO, I haven't forgotten where we were, but that doesn't mean I can't expect more from where we are now. We're not the same City anymore, let's put the past behind us, and hope we can get to where we should be, as the club we are nowadays.

if you could add this seasons defence to the lasts season sloppy patch up defence you would get a strong team
the free flowing football and goals did come at a cost at the back and we got punished every time we made a mistake

but this season we have this solid look to the team and we are hard to to break down and the sloppy mistakes have gone ? so yes maybe not so good on the eye and scoring hat full of goals, but it does come at a coast to when going forward

anyone that compares this season to the pierce season obviously didn't attend that season,
either that or they're lurking rags
I’m very susceptible to succumbing to getting extremely pissed at games, but even I can assure you nothing should ever be compared to Pearce, not even Frankie Clarke or The Football Genius

Anyone who thinks there was a manager called pierce who managed us for a season is hardly clued up either, and the word since isn't comparing the Pearce ear, it starts after that.

Which ear? Left or right? Can't say I ever really noticed either.

What's the Pearce ear

thinking about the new system, because that's what it is, we are more solid, our achilles heel was getting caught on the break, we saw it time and time again, teams knew how to play against us, sit deep and break, the best example being teams like united, not as good as us, but good enough to hurt us on the break,
Once he gets the players used to the different system we will imo go from strength to strength, we've seen great improvements in our defensive players because the system is allowing that, now onto the creative side, we've seen our main striker playing out wide and cutting in, I can see, specific players coming in during the transfer windows who will suit this system, and again imo will go from strength to strength, have a little patience and ithink we will see the rewards both domestically and more importantly for the growth of the club in Europe

The only people doing that are the ones who can’t fucking read a simple thread title.

No, it isn’t worse than pellers last season IMO.

Yes we had an Achilles heel but we won a lot more games because we had attacking players in midfield who could create and were top scorers. Whilst we continue to play with Rodri and Gundi together we will never get to the levels of previous years. They are not bad players but it means the opposition can focus on KDB
