Keir Starmer

Ha ha you gotta love social media

Some fucker tweeted "major press conference at labour HQ tomorrow" followed by #Starmerquits and it has started to teend.

Lefties claiming it isn't them started the rumour while the fence sitters fans are claiming it is.

Beat me too it.

I think the Tory troll army is out as people are asking serious questions on why Boris and his bunch of cunts are fucking about with vaccines.

Yeah will be mischief making from someone on the right, they have form for flooding SM with nonsense # just before some tory fuck up is exposed.

Though I did find this funny

Revised my opinion on this starmer quits rubbish.

It isn't tories deflecting it is progress lot with the classic shit they pulled between 2016-2019.

Put up some hashtag having a go at one their own( they did a lot of tom watson ones) wait for the left to bite then turn around and pile in to discredit any left wimg voice.

A sudden upsurge of the same message comparing the left wing or corbyn followers as the same.as MAGA, and trump fans.

A slur they hope will stick.

The amount of venom aimed his way on twitter is disconcerting. I don't rate the fella and don't think he is Labour leadership material, but fuck me, some hate him with a passion.

See my recent post, all a game being played and it has worked a trick.

It is also deflecting from his and raynors weakness over the schools issue

Just to say some of the corbyn fans are absolute nobheads with some of the bile they come out with

I noticed a fair bit of that MAGA stuff and Cult references. You may have a point. The "moderates" do have a longlist of form for this sort of stuff.

Who knows who is behind these machinations though.

The schools issue has raised tensions. Again Labour have reacted poorly, they should be supporting the Unions in my opinion.

The thing is whoever and for whatever reason whoever started this hashtag is does highlight the huge divisions in the Labour party. I know i have only had a quick flick through but those who are supporting him tend to have the EU flag and the FBFE tag added to their name whilst the one against seem to be the ones on what i would consider the left, Corbynites and others. Not scientific I know just the quick impression i got.

It just adds to the pressure on Starmer, maybe that might just be a good thing and it will rouse him from his somnambulist approach to opposition.

For a labour leadership to be so silent when the Teachers Unions are on the verge of implementing section 44 of the employment law is astounding.

His showning incredible weakness by trying to burn both ends of the candle, it is a repeat of the shite over brexit during the election, trying to plecate all sides and ending up saying nothing.

My comment about corbyn loyalist is because it frustrates me as these cranks spewing crap and abuse end up getting the rest of left tarred with the same brush and helps to damage the cause.

Attack the actions (or inactions in starmers case) not the person or persons commenting

Thing is pal, nobody at HQ or in any significant post in the party is refuting it. Are they all asleep on the job?

Some cracking theories about though.

One claiming Stamer only got the job to purge the Corbynites so Blair could make a comeback

I think its bored Twitter with a huge new years hangover making some mischief. I dont think there is any truth in it, but it could be very damaging.

Yeat the #starmerout stuff is people being people on social media.

But the silence from him and Raynor today and refusal to back the unions or even coment on it is very damaging for him as even some moderates who are soft left are head scratching why their is nothing coming out of LHQ

Starmer's tactics will go beyond this particular incident. He called it twice, got Boris to make a fool of himself both times. How many times does he need to repeat the fear? This one is not sorted quite yet.

That popular positive perception of Boris is going to be hell to undo. He has to let the Boris attacks to a minimum to avoid all Brexiteers and Tories piling in. Right now he leaving him enough rope so the Tory on Tory starts up again. Brexit and Pro Boris people started out as massive moaners before changing to flag waivers. It doesn't take much for them to start moaning about the obvious shitness of the uturns and last minute stuff.

He's better off letting Boris be the story. He can't resist it. As it stands, Boris has to come out with his nth Uturn, and that changes the momentum from all that positive coverage he engineered over christmas.

Seriously - People have to get sick of Boris. Attacking him all the time is counter productive. Every time he's squared up to by a genuine opponent, his army mobilises again and it's back to square one, everyone reverts to their last side. Now, if Starmer is saying what the Tory moaners are saying - that's different, it breaks the lines up. And that is the only way out of this. Once peace breaks out, the old division is forgotten, then the popular momentum can be shifted. That will happen when erstwhile supporters and those sympathetic to the Brexiteers being 'denied' by parliament get seriously sick of the site of the fat lazy one being fatuous and lazy whilst failing to deliver 'in peacetime'.

The obvious truth is out there - this lot are worse than ever. That's the perfect retort to the last dynamic of 'being sick of politicians, get someone new in'. It has to come from people. They have to realise it themselves, with as little interference as possible. Let Boris over promise and big himself up. Then let him eat his own shit. Let him be the focus when the reality emerges and he yet again doesn't come through, or leaves everyone dangling until the eleventh hour.

And let everyone realise, it's never going to change. Every time, this guy will leave it until the last minute to make a decision or u-turn. Every time. Ordinary people have to realise they are no different than the Nurses or Doctors. Boris will do his usual thing and drop us in it at the last minute, in exactly the same way he's doing to them.

If/when that to take hold, you might see a real shift back in the politics of this country. That's the only way I can see the current mania of the cult of the individual, and perpetual Toryism will be undone. People have to see it and make up their own mind. That won't happen when it's battlestations every five minutes. When that happens, 51% of people revert to following the guy with power (especially if he's a Tory), and the rest of us go round in circles.

That's Boris' game, that's Trumps game, lifted from the facist and totalitarian playbook.

Let it go. There's more to come on this. Way more. People are identifying with the teachers, either because it affects them and their kids, or it's obviously a repeat of the Christmas thing. The Tory press, having fawned ridiculously over him in the aftermath of his selfishly timed late delivery of the Brexit deal, are sharpening their knives. Nothing should interfere with that.

All well and good Mr Buzz, but what you are saying/advocating is in effect a one party state devoid of any opposition. As a democrat that disturbs me. LOTO is a major figure in the UK political system and should be offering alternatives not fence sitting or appeasing.

The failure to support the teaching Unions is a massive mistake and an abdication of his responsibilities to the Labour movement, there would not be a Labour party if it was not for the Trade Unions so to put them at the mercy of the Government without even a note of support is a position that no labour leader should ever take lightly. It isa matter of principle and sometimes principle has to trump political positioning.

Much as Starmer isn't my cup of tea, I'm not sure I see a natural successor at present. I also think reading twitter is a bit like reading the graffiti on toilet walls as far as information goes. Having said that, it sounds like Starmer might have been seeing a few toilet walls himself so things may just take their course...

Fuck me, i now see why I left the socialist side and would rather have the like of Starmer than Corbyn, Boris is just pathetic.
