If they had gone hard and fast early we would have had some chance, we're a small island so in theory we should have a much better grip of things.
Horrific stories coming from hospitals now, disappointed and disgusted don't come close to describing how I feel this morning.

More than 60 clinics have been opened in England to help the thousands of people suffering from long-term symptoms of coronavirus.

Research shows that one in five people develops long COVID symptoms including brain fog, anxiety, depression, breathlessness and fatigue.


Around 186,000 people have suffered problems for up to 12 weeks, according to the Office for National Statistics.

The clinics bring together doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists to offer both physical and psychological assessments and refer patients to the right treatment and rehabilitation services.

They are accessed via a GP's referral.

Bad symptoms for a a lot of folks for one day?
Are you really being fecking serious?
As to the allergies - most if those affected carry EPI pens for fecks sake and would die if they got anywhere near peanuts rather than getting slight swellings and discomfort with a jab.
 
So todays deaths without all settings from England are: 789.

A bit down on yesterday and all setting's are never high on weekends though usually not zero on Saturday as they are Friday data.

We might avoid another 1000 today but read nothing into it if we do as what does not get reported at weekend gets added on after it on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Today's England hospital deaths are way up on even last Saturday so that does not bode well for next weeks add ons sadly.

We have some really grim news on the deaths front already set to come and we will not impact those numbers today - only the numbers we will have come late January or early February by changes made now.

1. Better support and pay for those self isolating or sick.

2. Restrict key worker definition to limit numbers in schools.

3. Better support for home learning, so parents keep children at home.

4. Test, trace, isolate system improvement.

5. Engage private business. Get McDonalds etc to shut except delivery - not essential.

6. Enforcement. Last resort.

7. Place Julia Hartley Brewer on a small offshore island and remove her Internet.

To be fair test and trace is finally doing the job after adding the local element in October.
Pay and support for those who are isolating is absolutely critical and needs to be improved.
Not going to be able to do a lot with Covidiots. Except tazer the fuckers and drag them off to the infection tank.

I’ve had the Pfizer vaccine- felt a little achy but nothing major. From what I understand there has been less severe reactions than predicted.

Problem is random bad things happen across the globe every day. So given millions of people are receiving m this across the globe over such a short time we will see reports of medical events happening.
 
The three nations cases total without England today is 5680 v 6296 yesterday, About a 10% of an improvement.

If England follows a similar trend (BIG if) we might be at around 62,000 cases today.

Indeed.

We have been through this twice already today on here.

Posting the same story another time later today by someone else in here will not alter anything.

If there IS some problem with the vaccine we will all know it very soon and be in massive trouble. Doctors will intervene.

Arguing round in circles on here will not make that any more or less true.

I will worry if that happens not if the media report scare stories that likely are not meaningful.

Or hopefully are not because there would be advice from WHO already if they were.

Having worked with them for over six years, you are bang on.
Meeting after meeting after meeting, bloody yawn.

However the thing that annoyed me most is that they let their own political ideology affect their decisions and what could or couldn’t be discussed.

I was not attacking your post just cautioning those who jump on it as it supports an agenda.

You would think some really want to be living in an episode of The Walking Dead not getting this resolved with minimal tragedy in a way Hollywood would never sanction.
