I think there is comments about him bring a red etc.

my concerns with him have always been that the biggest story of the year he was way off & people say he’s well connected. He’s well connected with blues who knew the truth & nothing & not only that but that seems to be ok.

surely the editor would be pissed at getting it wrong, I wasn’t wrong & I’m a no nowt.

no doubt there’s a big article about the documentary released after buying the fa cup & with that he’ll talk about us being Manchester’s first club & first trophy winner.

I have not read it fully as not on twitter, so that is fair comment. My point is he is reasonably fair overall so I see no benefit alienating someone else in the media.

Sam himself had his back up when he replied to the original criticism of the article so it was always going to escalate and he must have know that

Sly sports pretend to write a positive article about Ruben Dias, but just quote Peps thoughts on the player.
Their contribution is his transfer fee which is highlighted and underlined, then further down it states "Ruben Dias is City's latest big money acquisition".
Think they are wounded deep down the wankers
I thought the Dias deal was Otamendi plus £41m (Ota valued at £20m). That is the bargain of the season. So Dias really cost us half what Maguire cost United. Just let that sink in.

Sam Lee is a rag **** with an axe to grind,
His ‘fairness’ is always intercut with a dig or a slight at us.

but then every sports ‘journalist’ should get a real job the fuckers
#BuyACoffee

Sam takes far too much unfair criticism. He's probably one of the best City writers around. There are a plethora of awful writers who have a go at City openly or indirectly, but he really isn't one of them.

“He’s not Garcia” bwhahahahahaha, this is the guy who specifically writes about city haha.

I love how he states these things with authority like he's a qualified coach, rather than just some guy giving his opinion, like the rest of us.

The thing about these journalists is (most of them anyway) they are well connected and know the news, but that's not the same as understanding football. They shouldn't be influencing gullible fans by telling them who they think is 'good on the ball' and who isn't. You just know Utd fans who are brainwashed enough to think these jouranalists are the oracle will swallow that up and the narrative will be 'Dias isn't that good on the ball' or 'isn't an expansive passer'. Cretins.

He looks pretty good on the ball to me, how the fuck they think shite like Lindelof and Maguire are better technically is beyond me.

Ignore the troll patrolling this thread.

The only thing Sam Lee is consistent in is his constant snide remarks against City, he may not have written the article in this instance, but his disdain for City fans is clear to see in his replies on the report, the dude who wrote the article Tom Worville is just another shit reporter who thinks he can troll an whole fan base with no comebacks.

Anyone who supports the absolute thundercùnt that Sam Lee is cannot have read anything on his reports about City at CAS. He reported zero relevant information on the whole case, often writing embarrassing fact free tweets and utter fùcking nonsense on the subject. Not forgetting that at every opportunity on the CAS case he would state how we would be found guilty and punished accordingly.

Nothing to do with who he supports, just another trolling cùnt who reports on our club with fact free nonsense and an absolute lack of professional integrity.

What does the bundesliga tweet mean?

Is this tweet real (someone posted a link to it on twitter but its either been deleted or it wasn't a legit tweet)?

View attachment 8046

I asked the same question about the Bundesliga tweet. It was because they were playing behind closed doors, so he shoe horned an empty stadium jibe about City into his day.

And yes that tweet is real. He deleted it minutes after I retweeted it.

Or maybe Micah was just hi lighting that the FA Cup is a bit of a lottery. In January we could have gone out to Notts County and in April we were beating the rags in a semi (history repeats) on the way to lifting the cup.
Micah deserves a pat on the back for getting this past the editor - we’d be having a dig over bias if an ex-rag or dipper had printed that his most embarrassing cup moment was a dodgy hour on the way to winning the trophy. Take a bow Micah.
Possibly.
He's pulled a blinder there. He's managed to highlight a poor team performance in a season in which he was part of a group of players that got a huge monkey off the club's back.
Hopefully he's boiled a bit of piss there but this also highlights that fans never forget as bringing up the Forest debacle shows.

What a bell end. I wouldn't read the athletic if it was given out for free in the street

I don't read anything in the mainstream media about City, and haven't done for about a year now. Some of the Athletic's City specific stuff which is historical (like the Michael Johnson interview) is really cool, but ultimately I'd rather read from City supporting writers / bloggers than be reading the biased nonsense that comes out of most City related media coverage.

One thing I noticed about Sam Lee was how he’d always have a little dig at Pep in his articles and he spent a lot of time driving the Pep is gonna leave narrative. He even pulled several users aside hinting he had inside info about it. I remember @BillyShears saying it was bollocks but Sam ‘put him right’.

When Pep signed his new contract it was barely ever mentioned by Sam. I think he did a retweet and never mentioned it again. I might be remembering wrong but I don’t think he even wrote an article on it. Kinda weird from someone meant to be a City correspondent.

I suppose he would say "I did it my way"

dias has unquestionable been the best CB in the prem this year, he has turned our team into a rock solid united, if a cb from say our rivals had had the same effect would they of got a b+,i agree with your thoughts on the " conspiracy" 99% of the time, but this is a little snide, and as the city correspondent to a pay per view newspaper he is in danger of alienating the fans he is supposed to be informing, all for the extra clicks of other fans, i can see why people get pissed off.

Excellent post, except for the minor detail that Sam Lee didn't write the article and said quite clearly he would've given Dias an A.

Sam Lee can't be taken seriously if he thinks Garcia is better than Dias. Even Garcia doesn't think that.
He's not saying that though is he....
No arguments, I think he has been fantastic and in fairness Sam Lee in his messages said he would ‘have been more effusive’, so not sure why Sam Lee is getting digs, which was my point, although a bit clumsily written, particularly as, although I dont agree with everything he writes, I think he is fair on the whole.

Are you an Athletic reader Frank?
If so, you will know many of his articles on there are informative, interesting and without bias. And for me that makes a refreshing change compared to much of the BS in the MSM.

Sam was utterly clueless on FFP and his co-contributor on the FFP articles was the Athletic's financial "expert" Matt Slater. Slater's position changed during the events ( a shift from biased to objective IMO) and the final detailed summary of CAS moved our very own legal expert projectriver to comment it it was a very fair and balanced piece.
Prestwichblue said it was shit. So disagreement with the 2 most valuable FFP contributors on here with CAS yet both on the same side as for loyalties etc!
