See this is the kind of mind numbing stupidity that goes on and makes me feel compelled to put the truth forward when I really don't care that much.

He had a zoom meeting with some journalists you don't like, and the reason he did so was because he wanted to know what they expect City fans to do about Abu Dhabi's problems that they keep writing about and tying to City. Afterwards he tweeted that they didn't really convince him they knew what they wanted.

The only reason anyone knows about the meeting is because he offered City fans the opportunity to put their questions to these journalists.

And for that he is supposedly branded some sort of enemy of the state.

Its pathetic. The idea that a journalist speaking to other journalists is some sort of war crime is just beyond all reason. What do you think happens in the press box every match? You think journalists you like, Martin Samuel, Blackburn etc. Just sit in a corner on their own and never speak to the others about City?

Stupidity?
He called every key decision from Uefa and CAS wrong, despite his 'contacts'. He voiced opinions and didn't just report or host zoom meetings to clarify. Your response is disengenous to fellow City fans.

He tweeted that at the time when he was sticking the boot in with FFP, never reporting that possible City could be the victims here.

Look I get so annoyed by the media's biased group think about our club. But I can't get upset by anything Sam has done. There are a few biased staff on the Athletic but we don't necessarily want sycophants doing articles about us. We're better than that. As far as dumb opinions go there's more in the matchday thread on here and yet I'm happy to contribute.

So now he gets shit for thinking City would be found innocent at UEFA and then thinking CAS would uphold the decision (which they do 9 times out of 10)

You've created a scenario where any opinion he has reinforces your dislike of him.

no mate read back my response to frank, it it not his opinion but lack if balance, the possibility of 2 outcomes.
 
Don’t get people who write these articles?! If they writing about a club any individual club be more favourable. Do they think an article that’s about city anyone else but city fans want to read it?

Didn't he at the time admit having a call with the WhatsApp group regarding the CAS case and say it was to "get his head straight on it", or something along those lines? Not exactly the move of someone looking for reasoned facts with a view towards impartial reporting of the CAS case.

Yes he did get it wrong, but I think deep down many blues probably thought we might lose at CAS.

As I wrote previously not sure football in finances is his specialism and so it was probably unfair to put him in that position. Being wrong though is a big difference from being biased, which seems to get levelled at him.

No wonder it isnt his speciality when you see the class of people he did consider experts worth consulting
