Colin Bell RIP - Ian Cheeseman interview with Jon Bell (P142)

Love to see a bit of footage from his comeback game in 77, the atmosphere must of been amazing that day.

I understand and fully respect Colins family keeping details of Colins funeral private.
Im sorry this is the case though, as I really wanted to at least line the route of the cortège to show my respects.
RIP king Colin.

would make a great film the story of colin bell. much like billy elliot from rags to riches from the north east
and had to earn his corn at bury first then stardom and bright lights of manchester city of the swinging 60s and then the injury in the 70s and come back and sadly had to give it up

R.I.P the KING

I don't think there can be any, otherwise it would have been posted in this thread well before now.
Most of the games from Colin Bell's time probably weren't recorded.
Remember in the 70s there were a couple of games on Match of the Day on Saturday and The Big Match on the Sunday. There was always footage of a game on 'News and Sport' which was early Sat evening I think ( very 'grainy' footage.)
Seem to recall seeing a few highlights on Sportsnight midweek. (Cup replays and European matches)
Nationwide 'followed' City force season didn't they, think I may still have the book the BBC produced about it.
