Political relations between UK-EU

It’s not, it’s down to AZ, that’s why there isn’t a similar argument with Pfizer.

We really really don’t want EU production facilities for the EU, U.K. for U.K. etc. We’d be fucked already if everyone did that.
AZ are producing the Vaccine all over the World, the EU will be getting 17% of the vaccine produced Worldwide for 5% of the Worlds population, with more to come. They are 100% deflecting, because they moved to slowly at the beginning, and the EU yields are subsequently poor in comparison to the UK .

By defending do you mean posts like this in response to the Export Transparency measure?

No idea to be honest, it smacks of a panic move and the desire to be seen doing something. Short sighted in my opinion.’

Or predicting that invoking Article 16 would be binned by 10pm because it was a dumb?

See, if you just stick to the facts we wouldn’t need to have these little chats.
Heavy criticism there
Lay off them bob

It's a matter of supply chain and distribution to key strategic locations. All EU designated vaccine is being manufactured in the EU. AZ owns the knowledge, they transfer that knowledge to the capable manufacturing sites and support them technically to implement that knowledge. This is called technology transfer.

This issue has resulted because AZ briefed the EU they would only be able to supply them with ~60% less than they promised to deliver. That's entirely because an EU Contract Manufacturing Organisation has produced a batch with a 60% deficient yield. It's only on the CMO.

If you add a kilo of ingredients to the pan to make a kilo of food and you only get 200g would you ignore it? At this point AZ are technical support and distribution / production coordinators

Oh dear. Vaccines to NI are being controlled by the E.U... Yet remainers are moaning about imports being a little late. Only the E.U mafia could unite Sinn Feinn and the D.UP. madness

Come on Bob. Don’t hold back just call the EU a bunch of heavy handed cunts and you’re all done for the night.

Again, that’s an AZ issue and why the EU released the contract though. For them, there’s no such thing as EU or U.K. yields, it’s just AZ. The uk plant had a shortfall too and AS used stock from elsewhere.

For sake of clarity, let me be very clear here. The EUs actions today are cuntish to the extreme and personally I don’t think are justified or condonable.

That doesn’t mean there’s a need to be a disingenuous interpretation about what the underlying issues are and why it’s in the situation it is though. AZ haven’t fulfilled their contract, that’s led to a breakdown in trust between them and the EU and the EU are now acting like twats to try and get around it.

The Archbishop of Canterbury is getting in on the act.

He is quoted as saying 'The EU are a bunch of fucking cunts'.

Well in clerical language but that is what he is saying..

It's the perfect 'opportunity' (for want of a better word) for them to rightfully criticise the EU's actions and show to other's that they aren't just EU fanboys.

As you say, it is very telling and kudos to the ones who have done because we're all together in the criticism of this action. I'd say it's laughable but this situation isn't funny at all and do hope that common sense prevails, the EU holds its hands up and rescinds the invocation of A16.
There’s a difference, some who support EU membership, ie me, do so on the premise only of it being beneficial to the UK but fundamentally our loyalties lie with our country. Now the EU aren’t acting in our benefit and are acting in aggression towards us, my natural position is one of defence.

I can imagine what you’d have said if we acted in the same way, your postings tonight have been in defence of them and you know it.

It's not difficult is it; you can still support the EU, advocate rejoining, yet on this occasion declare that the EU have acted like cunts.

Its the Irish/N.Irish I feel for most. Even more than the UK, Ireland has had even less to do with what's gone on yet they've been dragged into it through no fault of their own, without even being consulted by those who claim to be acting on their behalf. That surely deserves criticism from everyone at least.
