Before this derby they had awful record this season vs other top6 clubs. No wins, and one goal scored from pen and bunch of 0-0 games als that 6-1 loss Mourinho handed to them.

And now Pep made them to win at Etihad, cant figure out why especially with us being in such a great form.

In boxing, sometimes a much weaker fighter beats his opponent because of the style of each fighter. Our style just suits the rags down to the ground. They can sit deep, defend and then hit on the counter. In the cold light of day, the rags are still years behind us and they are a set of cûnts. This defeat hurts but we will come back stronger. Agree 100% Mate.
Foden, Bernardo & Aguero should've started. I was disappointed when I saw the team sheet.
We were complacent in the game. Utd took their chances we didn't even though we had more. We all know thats football it happens.
We still had more than enough shots & chances though even before Foden came on & especially after to get at least 2 goals. Just not our day, we didn't have our shooting boots on. We bad to have an off day sooner or later 28 games unbeaten ffs & 21 straight wins.
It's just a pisser its against them gobshites. It was their cup Final just like it used to be Citys when we were not winning Silverware. Shows u how far the rags have dropped when their biggest achievement is beating City.
Like Souness said it's a reminder for us not to take our foot of the gas & to keep alert. Hopefully we will kick on now & win at least 2 trophies.
Fuck them we will be Champions & the gap will be bigger than it is now.

The thing is i am not having a dig at the starting line up, while i would have started with Foden and Bernardo i wasn't unhappy with the line up. What did frustrate me though was once we went 2 down we still had plenty of time to change things but chose not to.

The starting eleven should have been more than enough to win this game. They just didnt turn up.

Not sure about the team selection today, Walker IMHO should have started likewise Foden.
KDB looks like he needs a rest
We play Southampton at home and Fulham away before Rags & Leicester play again (versus West Ham and Sheffield Utd respectively.
Gutted today but we shot ourselves in the foot - 1st goal was always going to be decisive.

Agree with almost all of this but don’t think Kev needs a rest, he’s just had one from being injured. He looks rusty which will be fixed with minutes, wouldn’t have played him today though

If you were told before Pep joined that losing some home derbies in the league would be the price of everything else - 20 match winning streaks, 198 points in 2 seasons, 8 out of 9 domestic trophies, 3 league titles in 4 years, would you give a fuck?

There were no positives to take out of that game but overall we have to be happy that our rivals have been dropping points for weeks and we still have a commanding cushion in the league. The run had to end at some point but you'd have hoped we would have gone down fighting when it did.

My concern would be if we do the same in the CL, as we have a habit of doing.

Watching Bayern come from 2 behind against Dortmund last night reminded me of something we don't do.

In the CL you need to adapt on the field when things go against you. We seem to follow the same script relentlessly even when it's clear it ain't working.
