Somewhere in there i'm saying Sterling can run around as i'd expect a well paid athlete to do, but this is football and i'd expect him to have more footballing skills.
Like finding a man, dribble without running with your head down into opponents and more critically not miss as many chances to score within the 6 yrd box
Yep - thought I’d agree.

I think we have to give him credit for his movement - it’s not a coincidence that he finds himself in the position to miss sitters like that. I’d go as far as to say he reads the game well, when he isn’t in possession and doesn’t have to focus on keeping control of the ball.

But I agree - he seems to be exactly that at this point - an athlete first and a footballer second.

You never know, Pep obviously loves him, so he might restructure the team so that we play to his strengths and he can excel again. Let’s just hope that isn’t to the detriment of what we’ve just seen in the last few months.

May as well play Ederson in attack vs United. He can't do worse than Sterling. No one can. How many career games is that now against them without a goal?

Hes above average I will agree, but to me his mental attitude as to change.
Luke fatman Shaw as shown it this season for the Rags, but Sterling never takes any city game by the scruff of the neck.
Its like yeah I was there part of the team but nothing special.
A forward should be winning us games not just being there making up the numbers

Seem to recall Sterling missed a gilt edged chance a year ago today in the same fixture. At the time we were 1-0 down and the better team.
Nothing ever changes with him

He's been gash for months...

To be fair Sterling was brilliant in those back to back title winning seasons.
Can we have him back please?
Somebody gave us this double that doesn't have any idea how to get behind the defender or control simple balls. It really hurts.

Like some clone with a shite football software. Unfuckinbelievable.
Find the original Raheem!

I just laughed when he missed that golden chance at the end, glanced at my father and said "He's done it again." It was just typical of him.

I'm getting sick of his raptor run into the box and either A) running into the opposition player for the fun of it or B) passing the ball to the opposition player for the fun of it.

Got slated in my group chat for saying I wouldn’t mind him leaving. Still haven’t got over those sitters he missed against the rags when we were 2-0 and lost 3-2 and the Lyon one last summer was unforgivable. He’s not a big game player and is now a liability. Foden finishes all of the above.

Sterling seems to be one of the most under rotated players in the squad yet i think compared to the seasons before this he has not had a good season at all.

Foden on the left would have been the obvious choice today especially with his form right now for me it seemed before the game i just don’t get it.

Why is pep so insistent on playing Sterling?

So many embarrassing moments do you remember the one against Burnley on the goal line and he fucking muffed it. Unbelievable

Just checked you're not wumming as your very low post count in getting on for 10 years suggests you may be up to no good.

Can't ever recall any of your posts good or bad so where have you been after all the good results and trophies won?
