Fuck It, I’m in for a penny and all that. I’m not bothered about the time I do so I’ve just planned to do the usual course then do it in reverse as well so at least it keeps it slightly different and everything I’ve gone up I go down and vice versa.Tough doing that course twice mate!! I’d go up to the reservoir after the back of the golf course and round that way some how.... I’ve a route in town I’m going, takes me right close to Maine rd too and then back down Oxford rd. fairly flat.
If I can go under 50 I’ll be buzzing my tits off... be the first time in over 12 months I’ll have gone under it. If I can get close to my PB of 45 I’ll be checking myself for PEDs!!What times are people aiming for this weekend? I'd love to go under 45 minutes but that would mean knocking 1:18 off my current PB so might be a push too far.
I’m on medication in case you beat me...I've not done a 10k race for about 10 years. I did quite a few races in my late 30 / early 40s and was always under 40 minutes. These days however, I expect to be a good 10 minutes slower.
So I'm gunning for Inchy and Blue hammer !
RagI did a practice 10k yesterday in 1:05:36. I'll need to cut half a minute per kilometre if I'm going to beat an hour. I'm fully expecting to be in the relegation zone in the final reckoning.
You’ll give up around old Trafford then?Only factor I have over you lot is that I’ve got the David Moyes ethos in my blood!!!

I could have said near any rags seeing as you’re down thereIf I lived Manchester that would have been a good one :)
Its certainly inspired me in these isolated times. Even though running and keeping fit consistently for the last 30 years and all through the lockdown. I'm new to strava and virtual race and it adds motivation. I might even refrain from the real ale on Saturday in preparation! It’s great there’s loads of us up for this!! Beats being in a match day thread that’s for sure!!
Fucking he’ll mate it’s not that serious!! I’ll have a few Guinness for the carb loading....Its certainly inspired me in these isolated times.
