Jack Grealish

He's missed the last 5 games through injury and got an assist or goal in 4 of the previous 6 games!

I’m talking about his performances.

Sterling’s got pretty decent stats at times this season but watching the games you can tell he isn’t close to his best form.

I suggest some of you not get hung up on stats or become too defensive of a player who doesn’t even play for us. It would be nice actually if maybe Sterling got that benefit of the doubt because Sterling’s delivered season’s of quality that Grealish never likely will in his career.

Maybe, just maybe, it's a huge ploy from us to drive his price up for United?

Seems like we might be going big on Haaland, so I highly doubt we could afford both at £100m+ each.

United seemingly accept that they can't get Haaland so were possibly banking on Grealish being their big signing. We may be trying to price them out or at least raise the fee.

If not, I'd be happy with him in our squad I think he's quality.
Fuck me if that's what Grealish costs then avoid like the fucking plague.
£70M is pushing it, £80M is overpaying and £100M+ is just ludicrous.

If Grealish is signed then one of the homegrown players is likely going, as it makes no sense to waste foreign spot on English player.

Of course it is. But if he's being linked for £100m by all the media then the buying club him won't get him for much less.

Again. We are already doing this. We have Carson, Stones, Aké, Walker and Sterling for 4 spots.

Also, It does make sense if you want an increased pool of homegrown players or an English spine.

But literally foreign player would have to drop out of CL next season if we signed Grealish as he is not academy product.

Right now we have 1 free foreign spot so no one dont have to drop out.

I'm saying that anyone could leave. No reason it HAS to be a homegrown player.

Nope

Not because I think he's a bad player but more because of the money and the fit

... Nope

This kinda seems like a fuck you to united for leaking we are in for Haaland. Honestly they need a decent midfielder way more than we do. Pogba is leaving and as it is their midfield is horrendous. I honestly can't see us going for him and Haaland.

Doesn't matter if he's a player we want though, he takes a spot whether he's English or whatever is irrelevent The only question is do we want him, and if we do who leaves.

There’s a difference between doing it at a club like Villa and doing it for City.

The worrying thing is that he hasn’t even been that good for Villa in the 2nd half of the season. He had a great start but faded away the last several months.
Hahahah what a load of shit. We rarely sign from other top clubs so what do you want him to do? Right lets let him prove himself somewhere like Real Madrid before he’s ready for us? If a player is good enough he’s good enough

I did tell you ;)
Personally he sounds like a complete arsehole but I watch him and think that, even without being coached by Pep, he instinctively understands Pep's way of working.

And I'm beginning to wonder if we're going to pursue an out-and-out striker this summer, as we seem to be managing quite well without one. We could wait for Haaland's release clause to kick in next summer then.
