From what I've seen of this Dortmund side, they are prime candidates to be absolutely wrecked by a full on press. They have loads of mistakes at the back, the keeper isn't good on the ball and Hummels and Can are slow and sloppy.

As soon as Sevilla pushed up and put them under pressure, they really crumbled, and it was only the fact they'd waited way too long that saw them go out - and even then they could have taken it to extra time with the last kick of the tie.

I would go for the full on pressing side. Ederson, Zinchenko, Dias, Stones, either RB, Rodri, Gundo, KDB, Foden, Jesus, Bernardo.
The recent league game against Bayern, Bayern really pressed high in the second half and Dortmund couldn't get 2 passes together. They've Guerreiro back which will help them get the ball out but Witsel is still out and a huge miss.

I remember when we played Dortmund several years. How that ended 1-1 I don’t know. Dortmund should’ve won by 4 or 5 that day for the brilliant Joe Hart.

Just the one semi vs Real is all we have achieved over the years. Our Chimps record is very poor to say the least. So why we are favourites every season and every knock out game is beyond me.

We seem to be more comfortable away so a 1-0 would be a good result. A blank sheet is important but you can bet Haaland will score one of very few chances we normally give away.

So after all this depressing shit I spouted I’m still confident we go through and see from there.

I didn't see the Sevilla game, I watched them against Lazio when they got battered.

Did they go full press on Sevilla too as far as closing down the keeper?
They went all out on Lazio in stages of the game then thought better of it as they were getting punished.

Was actually going to post this exact team, although I think Kev will play the furthest forward and Bernardo's energy and tenacity will be key stopping their breaks in midfield.

Ilkay was absolutely outstanding in that match. They were defending Bundesliga champions that season. They would not have been flattered by a 5-1 win that night.

------------------------Ederson--------------------
Walker------Stones-------Dias--------Mendy
---------------Rodri----------Fernandinho------
Foden----------------KDB-----------------Sterling
-------------------------Jesus-------------------------

They have a lot of similarities in style to Leicester and we dominated them with the above system. Also the same set-up Bayern slap them about with.

Rodri to win the ball back as often as he does but also Dinho(over Gundo) to stop the quick counters with his defensive knack of being in the right place coupled with being a master of the dark arts.

Mendy to do same job as vs Lei of hugging the touchline, allowing Sterling freedom to come inside and try things out.
Walker over Cancelo for defensive pace vs counter.
Mahrez = goal threat, Bernie = workrate..Foden = both.
Jesus to give their dodgy defence the wobbles with his pressing.

Three question marks about the starting line-up:

Stones or Laporte?
Cancelo at left back or right back?
Jesus or false nine?

Most important thing is that City play with freedom and to our potential. The biggest problem could be mental as we have been to this stage before and failed.

The biggest problem is us finishing chances. We'll create 20+ over 2 legs and should outscore anyone

The weather will be snowy after noon and especially in the evening but thank god it will completely stop 1-2 hours before the match!
I would hate to have the factor of snow to play too, making things more unpredictable and luck a bigger factor.
Would be freezing cold though :(
