H is John Henry, the cnutInteresting they say an announcement at 9:30pm.......right in the middle of Line of Duty.
Trying to bury it when everyone's focused on bent coppers.
It won't be though will it. If locals turn their backs on it I'm sure plenty will flock to the games. All played to the backdrop of half empty stadiums.
Because there is no qualification to this it’s a closed shop ..Can someone educate me here? I thought this replsces the CL?
What's Neville's beef?
Have their own competition you mean? Yeah, in the American model I guess that’s what would happen. Its a closed shop for all but 32 teams, no chance of relegation but I for one love the way football has had teams like Bournemouth and Wimbledon rise from absolute obscurity to the top table. It's fine then if you support one of the big six and all the others can fuck off yeah?
UtdWhich 6 teams have signed up for this?
He’s right. He said exactly the right words “it’s a power grab”. Relegate all teams involved tomorrow, strip all club’s entire historical trophy wins from them and each will be deemed to have never won a trophy.Neville said relegate United Pool and Arsenal
They have.

Willie. I don’t think they give a halfpenny shit about the fans attending. Football has continued in its bubble despite Covid Without fans. The piped crowd noise has been tested. Imagine all the money that could be saved by the big boys if stadia could actually be downsized and stewarding and policing costs saved. The fans £ contribution on match day as a percentage of the gazillions available will be insignificant. All aboard the train towards Rollerball football where continents play off against each other. Meanwhile I will buy a season ticket for Macc Town and watch them in NW Counties 2, swopping ends behind the goals with the opposition at half time and taking my boots along just in case. All played to the backdrop of half empty stadiums.
it got the backing from a US investment company to bank roll itDisappointed to see city in the list, i don't see this competition happening anytime soon though, it might make for good viewing but the cost will be too big
They'll be locals because games will be played across the globe.Sadly the stadiums will still be full. Just won’t be local fans but ones from China, India, etc.
I think I’ll join you at Macc next season.Willie. I don’t think they give a halfpenny shit about the fans attending. Football has continued in its bubble despite Covid Without fans. Interesting if true. Hopefully we’re sitting back because we’re reluctant to get involved but keeping our options openLooks like we have agreed but still haven't signed
So what does that do for euro qualification? For the two comps?Because there is no qualification to this it’s a closed shop ..
Im not so sure. As a club we hardly have a love affair with the CL and this proposed super league sounds just as bent if not worse. We will have the yank owners dictating how we can spend our money and determining how much we get, so for me and I imagine a hell of a lot of fans, we wouldn’t want anything to do with it. No way the etihad is anywhere near full for these types of games. It won't be though will it. If locals turn their backs on it I'm sure plenty will flock to the games.
Also look forward to City v Barca in New York and shite like that
I would imagine local fans will get in for free but the rest of globe will buy digital season tickets to watch their team. The local fans will essentially be bit-part actors as part of the spectacle. It's football meets The Trueman Show.Sadly the stadiums will still be full. Just won’t be local fans but ones from China, India, etc.
