Yep, we have no chance as cartel clubs get more revenue
Another telling sign thisPerez doesn't like players going away to play for their countries.
“Football has to change, many things have to change. There are national competitions that people do not know their name. Them using players paid by clubs do not make sense. It all has to change. Football, the way is designed now, can’t continue”
And another!Yep, we have no chance as cartel clubs get more revenue
If we know this though the higher up’s at city would have definitely known this .Reading between the lines it looks like several of the founder members were in shit creek financially and probably couldn’t sustain losses for too much longer.
This is a lifeline for them which makes our joining even worse.
Had we held our nerve we would have had every chance of being the top team/club in Europe for the next decade due to our financial stability.
Now it looks like we are going along with the ride only to be shoved in the back seat and told to keep our mouths shut.
Well said. Greed greed greed and now we have got on board and are going to get shafted by both sides of this greed grab. Fight uefa beat uefa then jump in bed with yanks to be shafted out of this circus league at the earliest opportunity if the club are not bought out by another yank.I have been in favor of that from the get go.
I grew up having to watch Rag Title procession formality year in,year out for well over a decade.God it was boring, season being all but over by Christmas most years.
No one could touch them financially, they bought all the best players. And that was that.Everyone else had to deal with it.
Their fans had no problem with all that anti-competitive bull shit, they lapped it all up,loved it.
Then along came more money Chelsea, and the Rags didn't like that. They thought that was cheating "buying Titles" Chelsea money was not earned like their morally, ethically clean money.
Their logic was our money was earned through sponsorship etc,Chelsea is a Sugar daddy, this is terrible for the game, financial doping.Fucking unbelievable logic.
Then along came others like our owners.
Then the Rags,Chelsea,Arsenal,Liverpool, that all had recent bankrolled success, all had a problem with erghhhhhh bank rolled success.Chelsea owner Abramovich a Russian Oligarch, suddenly didn't like the competition.Became a big advocate of FFP.After bankrolling Chelsea he wanted to shut the door on competition like ours.
For years we have needed a much fairer system in place, that Caps what every team can spend. Not only would it make the League more competitive, and enjoyable for neutrals. It would force teams to invest more in youth, become more organic, home grown, surely that is a good thing.
We all know though, they dont really want fair competition. They want an anti-competitive cartel. And that is where the game is at now.
I dont have much time for UEFA,they tried to kill us,lay our lifeless Body on an Alter for these fuckers. They tried to appease the Beast. In the end the Beast grew to big and consumed UEFA.
Pimp told him to. He's an honest football prostitute don't you know? Why did he get all scorpy over the t-shirts?
This screams Soriano panickingAll City had to do was nothing and we would have been laughing.
Our new President has no idea what is going on other than he had to do it because of their debts. His comments are ludicrous.
We are crazy to sign up to this. I thought we had the cleverest owners in the World. How have we been dragged into this? We have hardly any teams to play against and can’t sign any players and all to save overspending clubs in huge debt including United.
We were in a very strong position compared to the other ESL teams. We aren’t now.
I hope I’m wrong.
He is right on this though. If Gary Neville said it was raining I would go outside and check. Fuck him.
They will have signed the contract. There's no going back now.City have acted like a bullied kid wanting to be in the bullies gang. Fuck them City pull out now.
That sounds like a direct quote from Joel effin Glazier! The hysteria around this is over the top.
The top European Leagues and the Champions League are closed shops anyway. They only sell hope to teams outside the cartel but that's all it is, hope.
A Super League was inevitable. The reformatting of the CL in the 90's was the start, then the coefficient and seeding nonsense and then FFP were all nails in the coffin of other clubs.
Chelsea finished 4th in the Premier League and were seeded straight through to the group stage ahead of 42 champions from European Leagues. If people aren't angry about that, then their anger at this is hypocritical.
European football is already a con, this Super League is just removing the pipedreams of other clubs.
It's not the death of football, it's the evolution of it. We don't have to like it but we're fortunate that us as City fans have our club in it.
They will have signed the contract. There's no going back now.
MonIf we know this though the higher up’s at city would have definitely known this .
We have some very serious people running our club .
They have their reasons for joining and clearly must think long term this super league will be better for us if we’re included .
Whether they can handle the backlash and fall out of this though I’m not sure .
TV rights mate. They will share them at first, then go their own club way. It will be allowable revenue55% of revenue which is fine to be honest.
The clubs will have revenues of around €1bn.
As long as super club revenues are kept close (that's the whole point for American owners) then it'll be a level playing field.
Then I'd very seriously tell them to go find a nice scenic bridge and take a very serious running jump from it.We have some very serious people running our club .
