In a way Kerry Packer won.
In a similar move to this the response by the authorities was to ban the players involved from county and international cricket.
The Packer organisation challenged this in the UK high court and won on every count.
The decisions by the authorities were declared unlawful.
And was dead and burried 2 years later with everyone tied up in court cases and massive losses.

Not to mention that he questioned what he and the players have done to deserve fans putting banners outside the club. They are not about you, they are about the ESL you fucking idiot. Too used to playing the victims.

By doing so he actually personally had a go at the Leeds players and staff, the very people who will be directly affected by this shit. His anger should have been on his sleeve aimed directly at those responsible.

He also claimed the the owners of Liverpool are good people, he's a shill.

Think the best thing the club can do now is to just come out and be honest with their views / intentions

Seems we were a bit blindsided and pressured in to signing up, but that we have been aware of discussions and do truly believe that there needs to be some kind of change

If we come clean properly we can distance ourselves from the ESL whilst not burning bridges there, can avoid sucking up to UEFA, and most importantly can apologise and start to mend things both with fans of City and every other club

There can't be a single person at the club who is happy with what's happened so far. They've completely fucked their reputation and need to start making things right

He already had that return in the capital value of his asset. He doesn’t need a further income stream that he wouldn’t ever notice.

And yes, he should fucking turn it down if he wants to have fans paying money into the club and attending games going forward.
Nobody needs further income when you are a billionare but you don't become one without taking offers like these when its on the table.

Sadly, does this deal not pretty much end the need for fans attending games?

We can charge £1 per person to watch a game and could have 150m people watching over the world on CityTV, £150m off one game. I think most clubs are lucky to get anywhere near that after a good season and all the match day revenue combined.

Apologies if it's been mentioned above (this thread is moving bloody fast), and I might be looking in the wrong place, but the announcement about the ESL on the official website isn't there anymore.
It's still there, just buried by the other news.

But there wont be 150 million on CityTV, never will be. If you really believe that then you are deluded.

I am continually amazed by people's inability to see how investment works. Both journalists and fans seem to think you need to get your money back in profits, like a fucking cornershop, rather than by increasing the value of the business

I think city have been pushed into a corner and I hope they change there mind
Would them bent yank owners released the statement on Sunday if either 1 was top of the league or still in champs league semi? I know the rags could still mathematically win league and in 2nd rate euro semi but still worth a thought

got a whole thread about this fella
