Let the SuperLeague crack on, the Premier League with its history, pyramid and amount of worldwide clubs would still more than compete. The Superleague idea dies on its arse once Milan or whichever dead beat team gets smashed each week without punishment just gives up and gets worse.

See Italy in the six nations, see the Newport Dragons and the two Italian clubs in pro 14 rugby. There's no will to improve and no repercussions for not doing so, they just go through the motions. Hence the need for jeopardy.

An interesting thought. If we had not come in, in the first place, would it have still crumbled? The momentum of City and Chelsea leaving started the collapse....
I'd like to think our board always knew they could get out, but also knew that if it started without us, we'd never get in. They may not be angels, but I would not swap them for any other in Europe.

I wrote in another thread that in a fortunate way us joining and leaving triggered this, likely with Chelsea. Had we not joined we would have been left in the dust as all the members would have been 100% on board with no reasons to back out as they had unity, which was why we probably did agree to join.
