Put your faith in Pep and the players, get behind the lads in these next three games, they deserve that & need it, as supporters of this great club we should be looking to make positive change, our club has been slowly taken away from your average fan over the last decade with token gestures attempting to address the balance, we’ve all been blinded by the success, but now is the time for us to build on the small momentum we have achieved already to avoid another situation like this and implement change, starting with season ticket rises and the club inviting supporters to form a committee with a genuine direct route to the upper echelons of the club
Do you think they'd have the gall to put up SC prices after this debacle? After all it's already been made clear that supporters revenue is of little conseqeuence in the grand financial scheme of things. I think the answer is yes but give us two beer vouchers in the annual tin box (but no scarf).

Henry’s apology reminded me of the BP one they did after their oil spill a few years ago.
Self serving and desperate.
Well sorry La, you fucked it and we are all extremely grateful you did because the rest of the football world can see what we’ve known for years.
Now off you fuck.
His Liverpool rap list for his 'mistakes' for the last 12 months is atrocious.

As I detailed out in the Liverpool thread I have it as, Liverpool and United to be the custodians of English football (leaked and universally condemned), proposed furlough of staff (embarrassed into a U-turn and universally condemned) and now one of the main conspirators in the European Superleague (embarrassed into a U-turn and universally condemned).

These aren't mistakes, this is a fraud continuously chancing his arm...........

He should have apologised because let's face it.

It Only Takes A Minute.

It's a real Shame he didn't have the Patience for that. These Days you know there'll be backlash if you dodge taxes so the least you can do is Get Ready For It. Sure, Everything Changes, so people forgave him over time.

Now he can't even hold a job on the pissing X Factor... How Did It Come To This?

How do you think KDB's salary is going to be paid? A go fund me or a quick whip round?

Take a bow sir, I pray you never have to write another one of those.

How's this gone down in France? Is there as much anger there as here?
Oh yeah there is. Nobody wants this and i'm kind of prood than no french club joined this joke. But we are no fool : without world cup in qatar, psg would have probably join. Marseille would probably have also join if invited but its a club of ****. Lyon refused (not sure if they were invited anyway). The result is that psg's president got more influence in uefa thanks to thid.

Personally speaking, I'm not sure how I feel. I'm not sure I feel anything.
I just feel numb.
While I'm glad we pulled out, I just don't feel the same closeness and emotion for the club as I did last Saturday.
I just feel a kind of sadness, a sense of loss, of sense of drift and alienation.
One thing this episode has brought home is that football is about more than how many trophies you can win, money you can spend, players you can buy, the size of your revenue and the number of fans in the stadium and worldwide, it isn't all about tribalism, it isn't all about rivalry.. It's about integrity, it's about fairness, it's about morals, sporting and otherwise, it's about community, it's about togetherness, it's about belonging. All these values were challenged and the truth of what football has become was laid stark and bare for everyone to see.
Genuine football fans will forever, I think, be changed by this experience. Having experienced both sides of the football coin, being piss poor and shit, and also now being mega rich and one of the best teams in the world, they will evaluate what football and being a football fan means to them. They will come out the other side and experience and view football in a different way and perhaps become better football fans.
I'm sorry if I sound a bit melodramatic but something I can't put my finger on seems to have irrevocably changed inside me.
That's exactly how I feel.

bollocks , we should never ever of been involved.

as if leaving first makes it any betterz

if we were first we should of said it before chelsea did it. Not wait till 10pm to announce it . Silence all day was deafeninf
Of course we shouldn’t have joined but that doesn’t automatically mean that it’s not important who decided to pull the plug first or how mistakes were rectified. I said why I think it is important, you don’t think it is, that’s fine, we don’t have to agree. But you don’t need to respond with bollocks or who gives a shit.

Reading the Athletic article on what unfolded makes things look very bad for Soriano and Khaldoon. No regard shown to anyone associated with the club be that employee or supporters.

Employees and customers are always the last to know in any business. Employees do as they’re told and customers are given PR Bullshit or fake apologies. Tiz always the case.

The fact the sheikh has so far been compared to the following

Odysseus’s and his Trojan horse
niccolo machiavelli and his devious schemes
Derren Brown and his mind controlling powers
Lord Lucan for his hide and seek world record

Just shows people see what they want to see

Yep, the idea that "It's The PM Wot Won It" is preposterous

Numerous Governments have observed the mismanagement and corrupt governance at the FA close hand and have done absolutely nothing... the government were up there with all the other hypocrites the other day with their statement about doing this and that... if they gave a jot about football and it’s fans they would have acted long ago. Johnson is just a ‘Populist‘ who’d jump on any bandwagon - as he’s ably shown.

Isnt the danger that Bayern and PSG have now replaced the redshirts in UEFA’s key positions and they are no fans of us either? Unless City get a seat at the table, have we just replaced one cabal of enemies with another?

I don't think we have to worry about where our next enemies are, they are in ready supply.

At least with Paris in a key position, they can hardly come after us for spending money!

Be interesting to see if we get anything out of Uefa.

I don't think many fans would be against a breakaway from UEFA in principle and in that sense the mishandling of the situation by the Big Six is a massive missed opportunity. If they'd spent more time listening to the fans and devising a credible proposal then they could have got it through - that's the big shame here which the media seemed to have overlooked. The UEFA proposal is in many ways just as bad as the so-called super league, more meaningless games, a format that is totally overblown and convuluted and a safety net for the elite clubs. The big clubs have missed a big opportunity to make the game better.

I will not defend what the club did it was totally wrong and good to see fans making their voices heard. We derserve everything we get. However, the hypocrisy across the board is totally overwhelming. We hear all the time about the 'greed' of clubs. The players all coming out and criticising what has happened and threatening strike action. Are these the same players that demand crazy salaries and of course we cannot call that 'greed'. A lot of the problems in club finances are caused by player wages. Total hypocrisy. Sky, BT and Talksport of course would never have wanted the rights to the ESL? Again total hypocrisy. You telling me other chairmen would of course have turned down the opportunity because they care about the fans. Total hypocrisy. This is in no way trying to defend what we did and we deserve everything we get. But I find the hypocrisy of the players, TV/Radio companies difficult to stomach. Let's see if the players do their talking on the pitch later.

I think we need an apology. A statement signed and written by Joel fucking Glazer went up on our website, this is everything City were against. I do believe they were swept up in it all but we do need an apology.

Genuine question now, we have seen over the last 3 days the outrage from those against this farce of a competition - especially from us the fans

But there is still an elephant in the room and one that should not be allowed to be forgotten or swept aside. And that is the newly reformed champions league format that has an even bigger protectionist element actively within its rules allowing any established g14 club to qualify based on past merit regardless of there league position

This is also an abhorrent regulation that is basically a watered down version of the non-relegation side of the super league

We should move against this reform and force UEFA to remove this element from within european competition
It’s two places for all of Europe based on a 5 year European coefficient and isn’t limited to any team in the G14. It could work for Leicester or RB Leipzig or Seville.
