I've not given a fuck about football since the announcement.

I only hope that City are planning to fuck it up on the inside as a fuck you to all these cunts that wanted rid of us. I doubt that mind.

Florentino Perez shouldn't be blaming Covid for not making this years interest payments on their Billion Dollar Club debt credit card.

Real Madrid,Barcelona, have been run recklessly financially for decades. To kill competition. UEFA turned a blind Eye,Saddling a Club in 10s millions in debt became good if you are a Spanish giant,or have an asset stripping American owner.

New money coming in to the game became bad.

These are the same fuckers brutally furloughing their own staff in US/UK,and claiming millions in relief.

55% of revenue which is fine to be honest.

The clubs will have revenues of around €1bn. That means you can pay 25 players €350k/week without breaking it.

As long as super club revenues are kept close (that's the whole point for American owners) then it'll be a level playing field.
not at all, if there s a limitation on club budget yes, that would level the competition. But its on your global revenue...needless to say that real or united have a much much bigger global revenue than city or psg. Our clubs expand, but still rely a lot on local customers. United and real dont.
And the winner will cash double or triple, so its just a way to rebuild another fake palmares for real, and save perez butt from his debts.

I've sat on this and read this thread, Twitter and watched as much as I can on it, and after the bombshell yesterday I'm disgusted we are part of this abortion of a idea.

From the time we got bought out by Mansour, to then FFP came in, then the UEFA case, to our win in CAS I always thought we as a club were bigger then this cartel of clubs and were fighting the good fight. Now this has happened, and from what is coming out of Perez mouth there is no turning back. Which sickens me as now we are just part of the cartel as opposed to trying to break in. Ironically that was the aim back in 2008 to try and break into this monopoly and we've achieved that, but not in the way we all wanted.

From the moments of reading results every Monday/Tuesday in the local paper in Australia, to the odd Derby win, the promotion/relegations, to Aguero 93.20, to Pep's 100 point side, and back to back titles and this wonder side we currently have feel like at this moment that's been the best of it. It won't get better then what's been it feels after yesterday's bombshell.

For the first time ever I'm not feeling like getting up at 1,2,3,4 in the morning, the excitement has gone, and this move has soured the City experience for me. Something I've loved being a part of for well over 25/30 years as a foreign fan. It's left a sick feeling in my stomach, and I can't imagine how the local City fans feel.

There is another part of me that thinks this is the ultimate fuck you and up yours to UEFA. Who are stupidly being painted as the good guys here, when it's them & FIFA that caused this entire mess, they laid the blueprint with their greed in selling World Cups to Qatar and all sorts of other bullshit now their cash cows have pulled a move they'd do themselves.

I'm hoping I wake up for work tomorrow and we've withdrawn from this ridiculous competition, but to do that hurts the club and we fall behind so the whole thing is a mess that shouldn't have happened in the first place.

I share your skepticism but it’s not like “oh god we signed a contract we are now doomed” makes sense.
My attitude in the last 24 hours is that our owners are as greedy as the rest of them. Never in a million years will they break a contract costing them millions
