Ego's. The problem of modern footballers. Aguero's decision to take the penalty in the manner he did was all about what people would say about it, rather than just Aguero scored a penalty.

Sadly we have very few who don't have ego's of varying degrees. Even Pep's ridiculous decision to play such a poor team was all about mindgames and not about winning the fucking game. We have now managed to install a superiority complex in Chelsea with regards to games against us that has cost us the FA Cup, possibly the Champions League and will elevate them to be a problematic contender for next season's Premier League. Just need Pep to stop fucking about and play our best team at Newcastle as usually it’s a tough game there for us and they have hit some form.
Rags play 3 times before then and I expect them to win at Villa, beat a Leicester team who have collapsed and beat the Dippers so be just 4 behind us when we play Friday but win that and it’s done.

Of course they can. I’m not saying I agree with it, I’m just offering suggestions. I think around the margins things like that might affect a referees split second decision in the last 5 mins of a game.
