£99. Guaranteed same day result.

After some negative reviews about late results were mentioned on here I gave them a call to check and they said that sometimes the results go into spam folders and they really do guarantee same day results.

I’m going with independent travelers will be able to purchase a ticket.

1) ‘Offering’ - I don’t take that as meaning this is the only way to get a ticket

2) UEFA has an OPEN ticket sale on 24th. Don’t see how those will be forced to travel in a bubble, on a day trip, from many countries around the world

Just my 2cents.
I've been one who has stated that I believe that the Portuguese authorities are still pushing for day-trip-only admission in spite of the lifting of a ban on non-essential travel, but even I will say that people are reading too much into City's statement as being indicative of that being the finalised situation.

Just an enquiry to see if anyone knows of anywhere thats does these tests so we can fly to Portugal, cheers

For anyone interested, the Collinson in-person testing facility at Manchester Airport terminal one has just, as of this morning, dropped their price to £82.50 for a PCR test. I’ll likely order one of the Eurofins home tests (£45) for the UK arrival ‘within 72 hours’ PCR.

I've chosen in person testing on departure simply because I don't trust postal delays when the timescale is tight, whereas on return the only requirement seems to be to provide a booking confirmation and to take the PCR test within 72 hours hence I'm less worried about how long the result actually takes!

Yes you need a lateral flow test in Portugal. Available from airport and also most chemists and a lot of supermarkets at around 30 Euros. Also need a pre booked Day 2 at home PCR test to show at immigration on return.
Thanks for the clarification, much appreciated.

I’m interested in the “skanky fun zone”, is that an old Portuguese prostitute ?

And I’m hoping the ‘see inside of a coach’ isn’t a view up Pep’s back passage :O
Skanky fun zone is the arse end of a run down public park.
armed police keeping you there
alcohol free beer only
hot dogs and burgers
a Haribo tent
hundreds of hand sanitizer stations
bouncy castle (when Fergie dies!)
everything €7.50 a pop
masks on at all times
bright orange wristband with ‘UNCLEAN’ written on it
one portaloo

Pre departure?

They have a clinic at the airport and they give you the results just before boarding?

Seems cutting it fine. Are they reliable?

Bit tempting.

I think people are reading the statement depending on their situation and whether they’re an optimist or pessimist.
I’m not going and to me it read that travel will be provided by the club as an option, but other options will be available

The thing is thousands who have made independent arrangements (not via spike as I’ve done) many of them are likely not to get tickets, just going for the buzz and I don’t blame them, will still be in Porto regardless

How can they round these people up and put them in a field on the outskirts of town with one chemical bog small bar and a burger van

Will they have snatch squads or Portuguese police dragging people of the streets and waiting at the railway Station for them to arrive

There will no doubt be British holiday makers in Porto who don’t give two fucks about football and touring the Port distillery and going on the cable car

No doubt there will be some type of fan zone each set of fans will offered, really can’t see how everyone can be forced into it

Doesn't sound right that - especially when you look at the cost which is well on the cheap side for same day results or rather results in a few hours. I've paid nearly double that with a different provider for a 3 hour turnaround in results

IF there is compulsory attendance at a fanzone then the independent travellers wouldn't be put in a fanzone, only those on day-trips. But the latter would be the only ones entitled to enter the ground.

IF independent travellers can enter the ground (as I suspect they will be allowed to do in some numbers) then nobody will compulsorily be entered into a fanzone.

I'm guessing :)

Day trip costs
flight £400
covid tests (2) £200
ticket £100 (at least)
spend £50 (it will be dry so hot dogs and Haribo only)

£750 for a day out to see the inside of a coach, a skanky ‘fun zone’ and a match, whilst being treated like a leper and kept away from everything.

whats not to like.

take my advice, bin it.
stay at home, stay safe, don’t go, don’t apply for a ticket
So you keep posting, why?

I wish people would stop talking as if the bubble is happening. It’s beginning to piss me off that this is still ‘bubbling’ away in the background and threatening to derail everything. WTFIGO? They can’t enforce this bollocks upon us when every other traveller can come and go as they please.
I'll bite - it's their country they can enforce anything they like ;)
