Harry Kane

Im not saying he wants his players to hop from club to club, but his current club has to make it worth his while. Messi and Ronaldo are marketing dreams, as is neymar, you can't compare them to someone who plays at Dortmund. Are Dortmund able to make it worth Haaland staying another season, economically, that's gonna be the question imo. I'm sure mino will be busy negotiating it all with them because they can 100% make a fortune right now somewhere else.

Then we agree. This is what I have been saying in the Haaland thread. Haaland and Raiola can’t afford another season at Dortmund at this point of his career. He needs to explode and add ‘winner’ to his brand next season and before the World Cup cycle

Sorry Gus, didn't see your other posts. Yes, def agree. I don't think it will be the end of the world if he stays, just that someone somewhere will really need to make it worth his while.

Mino is an advisor. I made a post about this in the Haaland thread on Sunday. He knows the best move for Haaland’s future is City and that it would be terrible for him to continue at Dortmund. It’s a mistake to believe Raiola only cares about the transfer fee; sure, he will want that, but the main focus is for him to remain on top, winning and being a superstar, that’s when the real money comes in
I can only base my assumptions on Mino’s past actions with Pogba, Zlatan etc. He will get the best financial package for his client. He also has a habit of causing unrest with the aim of moving players or increasing their salary. You and your mate silva think he won’t be involved. I don’t share this view.

We're pretty spoilt aren't we if our choices are between Kane and Haaland.

One is destined to become the greatest PL goalscorer of all time. The other could achieve similar in his career if he avoids serious injury.

What a time to be alive.

My point is people are saying 100m is to much, we would be dealing with Spurs and I can't see them accepting less than £130m (maybe more) and for that reason I don't think we will be signing him.
You had me baffled (and I’ve not a clue what Levy will be asking for him) but, yes, I agree with you, that £100M would be too much as would any amount above that.
In fact, personally, I wouldn’t want him for anything more that £50M because I fear that his persistent injuries would keep him off the pitch for about 50% of a season thus making him worth only half of what he’d be worth if he was reliably fit and we were getting close to 100% out of him.

Why would Raz go the other way, he wont get paid anywhere near what he gets here wages wise, can be a bit part player and still win trophies & leave on a free when his contract ends.

sterling a bit part player ?? its not always about the money and sterling wants game time every week and to be a main player ? deals can be done when a players gets basic wage but gets a big signing on fee and bonuses. i just feel sterling and pep are done and nothing more can be done to help sterling improve his game and that panic rabbit in the headlights will always be there

pep wants more goals in the team for next season and world class strikers. and the funny thing is this summer there is 3 or 4 up for grabs and pep and city would be daft not trying to sign a couple. when you have players like KDB and foden. silva. you need a striker to make their game better and the striker is the icing on the cake

Zlatan has attitude and character issues that have nothing to do with Raiola. For as much as Pogba keeps being mentioned, since 2009, he’s only been in two clubs (and it’s mostly United), which isn’t always the case for a player of his talent, and Raiola is absolutely correct in that Pogba is stuck at United and would probably be better off elsewhere. Raiola will want to make money and help his clients make money, just like every other agent. But to think he will move players around when they don’t want that, that’s not what he does. I maintain that he knows very well that more money comes in with a player being a star and winning, rather than with transfers. And the patronizing “your mate silva” was unnecessary

If Haaland isnt available,i dont know where we turn. You suggested you do know, that's why i asked for your candidates?
I don’t want to mention names that wouldn’t be my choice because I don’t want them to come back to haunt me. I have, however, mentioned Lukaku many times. The club certainly isn’t stuck with Kane as the sole Haaland alternative

Well apparently we enquired about Kane last years he is City priority number one target!

we ain’t paying 120m+ for him so I see Jesus going the other way if he wants that move. Also it tick all levy boxes a young striker someone who isn’t on huge wages plus with Jesus being you a possible sell on if he does the business down the line..

40m gets paid for average centre halves these days and even 80m in utd’s case. 100m for the best striker in the league who has just turned 28 is not a bad price. He scores 20 league goals minimum every year for an average Spurs team so just imagine what he’ll do with the likes of KDB, Mahrez and Foden supplying him. Not just about goals either has link up play and passing are superb.

Ornstein and Jack Pitt Brooke reporting that we've been interested for a long time. Sounds like our interest is very much real.

Think we'll be aiming for £80m-£90m, that's the new £120m post pandemic. Spurs are already missing out on a lot of money with no Champions League. If we can do £90m over 5 years that's £18m + £15m wages (300k a week). Expensive but doable.

Haaland won't be available this summer, Dortmund have made the Champions League, they've no reason to sell. It'll be Sancho this summer, Haaland next summer for them.

If Haaland isn't an option then we need Kane, we can't go another season with a false 9, it will get figured out.
