Jack Grealish

We have seen it in recent days, the genuine fear that if we sign Kane, they might as well all pack up and go home for the next five years.

We have got to take advantage of this genuine fear, rip their fucking hearts out and do maximum damage this summer.

We need to maintain the gap and you do that by crushing hope.

Grealish and Kane in those teams you mention closes the gap too close for comfort.

I remember me staying at a villa one summer in Val De Lobo, swimming in the pool, drinking margaritas and enjoying life.

Next minute, fucking Sky breaking news, United agree to sign Van Nistelrooy for £19m and Veron for £28m.

I was fucking livid, wife told me to chill, but I sobered up pretty quickly, those bastards were buying from a position of strength.

It's our turn now. Man City ruining summer holidays since 2021!!

I put on here yesterday saw that fear face to face, with a Chelsea fan down the gym. When I even mentioned Kane and Grealish, he came out with that we are turning the league into the bundesliga and that there is no point challenging. Said we were taking the fun out of football to. He was really confident to that they were winning the league next season. All I did was mention those two names and the confidence just left. Admitting defeat before a ball has been kicked.

I’ve said many times that Grealish is the perfect signing for us. I wasn’t sure about him when he first broke through at Villa, but his rate of improvement, season after season, has been astonishing. He would instantly improve our best 11. He’s also extremely versatile. He could play as an 8, alongside Kevin, or on the wing or possibly even as a false 9. His quality driving forwards and around the box is among the very best in the league.

In the long term, I see him as a successor to Kevin. Shorter term, I can see him playing alongside Kevin, just in front of Rodri/Fernandinho, in the 4123 formation. He also adds pace and increases our threat on the counter. He adds balance to our attack and makes us much more threatening in general. I’d be absolutely thrilled if we signed him.

I can see where you're coming from, even if I'm pretty certain Grealish will never, ever reach anything resembling De Bruyne levels. He just doesn't have that ability but there's no shame in that.

I also get where you're coming from with regards to strengthening when we're on top but players like Kane and Haaland are a direct squad improvement, whereas Grealish isn't. Maybe in a few years when others leave but then that negates us strengthening right now.

Cracking player but I just don't see him as an immediate priority. Similar to Aouar last summer.

Give me a centre forward first, then if we can find a Kane/ Haaland quality player at defensive mid or left back then I think those are moves that will have our rivals dialling the Samaritans.

Fair enough. While I believe Grealish can be the successor to Kev, there is also acceptance that sometimes players can't be fully replaced, so yoy buy the next best thing.

Re a defensive midfielder. Bellingham really impressed me but quite a few people in the academy are adamant that Romeo Lavia will be knocking on the door very soon and has world class attributes.

Sounds incredible and only 17!!

Loan him to dortmund
Save the hassle of trying to buy from them!

How old is he again?

RIC said he'd be told Grealish will.be signing....he doesn't claim to know alot, but claimed the same once before about a player.....who was it and was the bloke right RIC?? Assuming this came from same source ;)

Yep - I just can’t see the club prioritising yet another attacking midfielder when our clearest need is up front.

We have incredible options in Grealish’s position already, whereas at 9 we now have just Jesus (who is a great player, but could hardly be described as clinical) and Delap (who has just turned 18)

For me, I’d far rather we left both Grealish and Kane well alone, and went all out for Haaland.
This only happens if Sterling, Mahrez or Torres leaves, we don't give Sterling a new multi million pound deal to only go & sign Grealish doesn't make sence

Another 12 months then yes as 1 or 2 would be moved on but this Summer would be madness

But we could also have Jack boxed off if it would happen it stops UTD, Liverpool & Chelsea getting him

Intresting next few week do I see Grelish & Kane not sure

I've said it many times in 18 months 2 years time Kev will drop back into HM, he will do that role easily for a couple more years.

See, it’s quotes like this that I get exasperated at. I understand that it’s your opinion, but believe me if you gauge the thoughts and opinions of a huge audience then I guarantee the majority would side on Grealish as being a squad improvement.

We‘ve had lots of discussion about the seasons that Bernie, Gundo, Raz, Jesus, Mahrez have had, and the seasons they’ve had over the last few years too, and in MY OPINION Grealish is better than all the ones listed and would in our team prove it relatively quickly.

Opinions, like aresholes as we know, but I go with a majority in these cases. Oh, and Pep agrees too, lol, and I like his opinion...

You should have reminded him how much Chelsea spent on Werner, Havertz, Mendy and bloody Chilwell in the last 12 months or so!! Not to mention the fact that they already had the world's most expensive goalie in Kepa.

Pep agrees that Jack Grealish is a better player than Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez? Not sure about that one, mate.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying I disagree and that's cool but please don't make me laugh with that majority opinion nonsense.

Pep agrees he’d improve our squad, which wasn’t too difficult to understand.

Looking at our possible attack/midfield on Saturday

Dinho/Rodri
Bernardo Gundogan
Mahrez KDB Foden

I know we play a lot of games but there's Torres, Sterling, Jesus will be on the bench and taking into account we're after a striker I just don't see the need for him(I do think he's quality btw)

Can only mean someone on that list wants out surely

Recommend to us by vinnie also

This place is really funny btw. We have those saying Grealish would play as a holding midfielder and those saying kevin would play as holding midfielder in 18 months just because they want us to sign Grealish and believe he would take us to the “next level”. Grealish is a ball carrier and dribbler like Mahrez, not a better finisher so what exactly does he bring that takes us to the “next level”. We saw in the match against Everton how a runner can be important because Kdb made some good through balls that raheem wasted.

I don’t think anyone doubts his abilities but the reality is we can’t keep adding talent to the squad, I personally don’t think it is even worth replacing Sterling with Grealish. You guys have to remember we have had 9 substitutes this season and there have been some matches where pep left some players at home and said the reason is tactical reasons or they were not fully fit. Normal subs is 7 so people are not going to be happy, yes I know we have been lucky this season with injuries.
