Running out of words for this lad , will be accused of wearing the blue tinted glasses but i havent seen a better more naturally gifted player at his age since Messi appeared on the scene and Foden has the stage at this club to become a true world star, and i havent had a drink yet :)
Pep rates him, and I trust Pep.

And before anyone jumps in and says Garcia, I think Pep is correct there also. Sadly we won't see the full potential of Garcia, unless he ends up playing against us sometime.

It's crazy to think how far he is yet to develop considering where he's at right now.

You could see yesterday that his through balls aren't on De Bruyne's level, but imagine what he'd be like if in a few years they are!

A few years back in went to the nou camp and watched Messi absolutely tear a team apart. It was like watching something out of the norm. The ball stuck to his foot and he just glided across the pitch. No matter what the opposition tried they just could get near him. Without doubt the best footballer I have ever seen. Watching Foden I feel the same.

I think Phil could be up there with him I really do. I know I may get accused of hyperbole but honestly this kid is on a different level to anyone else. He is truely something

Pep saying Foden is the most talented player he’s ever seen isn’t looking quite so outlandish now.
I think he's since clarified that he said that Foden was the most talented player of his age that he's worked with, but it's still incredibly high praise (and likely accurate).

Ah. I did think at the time it was a big call seeing as he helped bring Messi through. Like you say, still very high praise.

Fucking hell, it’s so good to see all these highlights together. And this is all just the CL, against some top class teams. What a player.

It's like we already know he's very good. But it's these highlights that makes us go, "fk me, he's insanely good".

Watching that video tho, I got the idea that there would seem to be a particular coaching tip that I'd be passing onto my team, if they had to play him. It might not help in actual fact, but seeing that just helps me temper my expectations for him over the next few years.

He isn't the finished article yet. In a way, no-one ever is.

He has all the ingredients - he really does - but the work will never stop. They will come back at him this weekend, next year, the year after that, with much more knowledge of what he does, and he'll have to find ways to overcome that.

Yeah but he's been wasted here, needs to get out for the sake of his career. Why won't he listen to every single clueless pundit??

When you listen to fans of other teams, I do enjoy a good chuckle at the plebs that don't have him starting for England.

United fans would have Rashford ahead of him....

I wouldn’t fucking swap ten Rashford’s for Phil.
Football just isn’t for them is it.
Luckily these days Utd are hardly recognizable as a football team!
