My lad had the J & J abroad in the RAF.

Nearly all of them felt shit for 24 hrs afterwards and he said they used a fucking massive needle.

The only safe way was to totally ban overseas travel except under exceprional circumstances where quarantine should be enforced. Trouble is lorry drivers must have access to the UK.

214 aged 25-44
306 aged 0-24 (144 of these aged 0-14)

Actually when I look at those figures I'm in complete disbelief that younger folks aren't turning up for their vaccine appointments. The effect couldn't be more obvious but to get to where we want to be then people need to turn up. I don't know if the messaging needs ramped up or what the solution is but it needs addressed.

Bit of both, I think seems to be the norm. Whatever the process, it's people who have been advised of their appointments and simply aren't turning up (amongst younger age groups) which I cannot fathom.

Only if the varriant of concern comes from India and out competes the native strain.
The bad Brazilian varrant in strong in France but it doesn't out compete the Kent variant. If it had we would have been in the shit from lorry drivers.
Going forward we need to move to mainly container transit to/from the continent to make our island status count as a firewall.

They think they're indestructible. The Indian varriant is much more dangerous to the under 50s according to the data coming from India. Especially with the Black Fungus that seems to thrive on those infected.

not sure if this helps but Tameside seem well ahead with Vaccines. I’m 31 and got mine a couple of weeks ago now when most places were doing the over 40s

my grandparents were fully vaccinated by the first week in January too

That's pretty standard. In some places, they started vaccinating people in their mid 20s a two or three weeks ago.
