If we fail in our major Striker targets what about Evertons Calvert Lewin if I have spelt that correctly. A proven Premier Striker, quick, good in the air. Scores regularly and in our team, could excel.
I’m sure I will be vilified for this but it’s just a thought. Not sure how much he would cost. But a lot cheaper than Kane, allowing us to get Mendes and Grealish too.

Calvert Lewis valued at 40m. 16 goals in 33 appearances, age 24. In City’s team his goals ratio will increase a lot more. Worth considering if our other targets fail.
No one's selling him for 40m. 70m easily.

40.5m is his official value, but of course when City come knocking it will be closer to 70m

Sometimes I think if I didn’t have myself to talk to I’d go mad!
I rate him too (Calvert-Lewin that is!) but I just cannot see us getting him out of Everton. They'll want to build their team around him. If they sell him, how do they replace him?

I’d be confident City could get Calvert Lewin if they wanted to. Imagine the players reaction?
What about Lukaku? He would score a lot of goals at City. He'd improve us I think but I prefer Kane. There's no way of telling is there what understanding Kane and Levy have, and how far Kane is prepared to push it to get his move.
I would hope city try and do this deal before the Euros. Kane's value could go up after the Euros.

Calvert-Lewin feels like it would be another Wilf Bony situation. 18 good months in his whole career to date (and that's being generous), in a team with a completely different playing style to our own.

I cannot believe 43% of people don’t want us to sign the most ruthless striker in the league. And a Englishman coming up to his prime as well, genuinely baffling.
It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that he could get 200-250 goals for us over the next 5-6 years. He would be absolutely ruthless in our side.
For what it’s worth I can’t see us signing him but if we did this would be quite likely to end up as a classic thread with a lot of humble pie dished out.
