The only way it will work will be if they widen the number of devices you can download the ticket onto. To restrict it just to Iphones or the most modern android phones was ridiculous. Lots of new phones are not compatible with I Wallet or Google Pay. We got into the Everton match even though neither of the phones worked when we tried to scan in. It was a total shambles and the Stewards just opened the turnstile gates.I love the way it describes the ‘successful’ trial of mobile ticketing for the Everton match.
It was a bloody shambles. I had about 15 attempts to scan in using my phone before being sent towards another gate with a very long queue. I declined this and tried at another turnstile with no more success before a steward appeared to override the system and let me in.
If there were problems with very low numbers at the Everton match, it will be far worse with higher attendances next season.
I have a fairly modern iPhone X but the thing would still not scan. Yes. I pay upfront too and although I want to go to every home league game I'd still be happy to go to as many as possible if that is the situation.So is the situation going to be, you could pay for a season ticket (in my case I pay up front) but you still mat not be able to go to every game?

Yep. I paid for an Everton ticket, spent in excess of 10 hours in phone queues to Supporter Services because my phone is not compatible. Was promised a print at home ticket, it never came, so I wasn’t able to go. And to date no refund of the £35 I was charged. Obviously I won’t now be renewing season card, so mission accomplished, another legacy fan culled.So is the situation going to be, you could pay for a season ticket (in my case I pay up front) but you still mat not be able to go to every game?

I phones supporter services they was extremely helpful...just to try and help out a few on here your season card I’ve been told doesn’t automatically renew you have to do this either call in person at the ticket office ( no cash card only) go online or ring the club directly you have until Wednesday 16th June 8pm you have from tomorrow to do this.
Only posting this as few I know was of the understanding your ST automatically renews.
I had one of these for the 19/20 season. I was still living in Canada and knew I wouldn’t get to many games so didn’t want to pay £700+its my first year in the adult age bracket. whats the process for getting a value gold ticket? i cant justify paying double what i paid at 20
