Seasoncard - 2021/22

I get so many junk emails off City just seems bizzare that just 90 mins before renewals open no emails have been sent by the club regarding the process.
Not everyone checks the website or bluemoon daily

Yeah I think it's really poor that the prices weren't emailed out in advance with a message to say that renewal information would follow. Like you say its not compulsory to check the official website. If I hadn't seen this thread I'd have missed it completely.

Agreed. It’s very shoddy.

Also not everyone has the money sat in their account ready.
  • We're finally going to get back to watching games in the stadium after 18 months.
  • Prices are frozen
  • There's the option to defer but keep your seat for the following season
  • The sun is shining
Yet people still have to find something utterly trivial to moan about. If there had been an email, people would be moaning that they hadn't had an email telling them to expect an email.

Err, excuse me. Get off your high horse.

It’s perfectly reasonable to expect the club to actually communicate to their season ticket holders.

They’re capable of emailing me every other day trying to sell merch and other bits of tat, but can’t be bothered with actual important things like this.

Looked through my emails and it was the same last time. It’s really not good enough.

Maybe so but you are well aware of what is going on though being on this Forum and you can also get the info on the Official Site and the City App.

Utter nonsense.

None of what you've listed has anything to do with it. The last year has been incredibly challenging for everyone, people have big decisions to make about renewals. It isn't unreasonable to have expected an email confirming the prices.

As for your post moaning about people moaning, well the least said about that the better. Give your head a wobble.

It’s not as though you have to be poised at 1000 with your finger on the button. If they’d sent a preliminary email there’d be people asking what the point was if you couldn’t renew as soon as you’d read it. There was someone at work that used to do that to me. Whenever I told them something they’d say Why didn’t you tell me?

Its not a moan its a perfectly valid point. You seem to take every comment as a personal dig and its not healthy for you.
There will be thousands of blues totally unaware that renewals commence today, I believe though I may be wrong that the renewal window closes on the 16th which gives people a week if that is correct. Some people will be away and won't access emails for that week and could potentially get back to find they've missed the renewal window.
Given the club have no problem telling us that they've got a new scarf/hoodie/competion for me to enter I don't think given that we've been mostly out of the loop now for 15 months in terms of buying tickets that a bit of prior notice so everyone knows what the position is is asking too much.

Waded through my emails and it seems last time in 2019 they gave us 10 days to renew. I assume it’ll be similar this time round.

My dad is in his 70s. Doesn't read Bluemoon, has no social media, hasn't seen any of his mates in over 12 months due to Covid. He has however an email (that I set up a few years ago) just for City related stuff so he can keep in touch.
He's been a ST holder/been going every home game probably longer than you've been alive.
If I hadn't mentioned the renewals were coming out today he wouldn't have known.

Still, the suns shining, I'll tell him to stop moaning and get on with it eh?

Don't forget the price freeze haha

The point is, how do you know to look? Most ST holders aren't on blue moon.

It's a bit like the bloke who drove into a flooded river and complained there was no warning. "Didn't you see the sign?" "What sign?"

I gave everyone notice in the Supporters Club Branch that I run. Many other Branches would have done likewise. Add the the Supporters Club and Bluemooners and you’ve got the majority of City season card holders

So you did get an email in 2019, which gave you 10 days to renew. Why not see what happens today?

My original post was tongue in cheek but I'm actually astounded by how some seemingly intelligent adults appear to be so needy. "But what about...?" "I need to know..." "They haven't said..." "Will I be able to...?"

City have said that details will be released at 10am today. If they hadn't said that details would be released at 10am today no one would have been any the wiser.

There's no one more critical of the club's often risibly poor communications than me. But let's wait till 10am and then if people still aren't clear, then me and the other CM reps will be more than happy to try to ensure any legitimate questions are answered accurately by the club.

Just trying to lighten the tension that seems to be creeping in!

You speak for yourself young Norbiton. I shall be poised with my finger on the button at 9.59 am ready to renew and everything had better be in place because if I don't have a receipt from City in my email inbox by 10.05 (ok 10.15 I'll give them time to get their breath back) there will be a serious tantrum going on in Eccles!!!! ;-) :-)
