It's depressing they become candidates in the first place. I've said it before, that I'd be deeply disappointed if one of my children had grown up with the moral compass of those lying twats.

It’s strange but every time I put Brexit into google it just comes up with all that negative stuff about fishermen and cheese exporters and the Northern Ireland protocol. Is there a specific search term that will bring me the facts about how we are about to surge ahead, ahead of schedule too seeing as the previous expert and chief cheerleader on here mr 1632 said it would be years before we felt the benefits

A couple of pages back I put a snippet of info up, a bloke quoting ONS figures an’ all that shit. The only response was from the bloke who lives on here saying that all these new trade deals were causing inflation, lol. We’re now starting to import much more from elsewhere, EU imports are dropping, which means they’re losing out.UK Growth is forecast to surge by the ONS and BOE. All this is around,but if you don’t like watching the vid or finding out, well, hey-ho.

Ok I’m going to watch your video but first I “googled” UK growth forecast. I suspected that any forecasted growth would be in the context of the previous contraction brought about by Covid and this is borne out by the article below (yes I know it’s the Guardian but the report they quote is the report they quote, I’ll also look for a Brexit friendly take on it).

So our projected quote over and above other G7 nations is down to the success of our vaccine programme but comes with the warning that further down the line Brexit complications will hold us back.

EU exports are dropping? To the UK or to the world? That statement is no use without some understanding of by how much, what percentage of gross national products, etc. Hopefully someone will do our homework for us there or I’ll have to google it myself

Very old hat now, and this Rejoin party isn’t gaining much traction.

The UK is importing less from the EU, so it logically follows that they are losing export share in our market. We are sourcing elsewhere, as we all knew would happen.

if you knew my current circumstances ( rather than than those constructed in your mind ) you'd agree I am very much winning at life - now off you trot and get some work done

Yes I get that, a more rigorous analysis might tell us if they are exporting more elsewhere, what goods are effected, what is the actual cost to them, etc

Meanwhile I’m not convinced that us importing more from outside the EU is the best barometer of our economic strength. What are we importing? Where from? Stuff we used to make or grow ourselves? Cheap plastic trinkets? Luxury goods? Who knows but your faith in a former Brexit MEP quoting a telegraph reporter seems a bit one sided. What do you think about the projections for growth after the post pandemic boost?
