Grealish was ok, pressed well, good on the ball and provided the only assist in a 1-0 win.

Sign of a quality player, making an important contribution in a game where it didn’t quite happen.

All the noise is Bernardo wants to go and that has been the case since last season. He has been an ultimate professional and for me, it has probably been agreed if a suitable offer comes in he can be sold. We have also used this time to identify a replacement (be it like for like or a bit flexible with other squad members) and Grealish is it.

I think Grealish will push on a level and once in will become an established first team player. I think as fans we will love him and he will get us of our feet.

Ive never seen Grealish look like the player Bernardo was before the tweet incident. For a period he was unplayable his close control his work rate everything he was class. That said he’s never quite hit those heights after that incident. I think Grealish looks decent but don’t think he’s as good as Bernardo at his best be sad to replace Bernie

I think Foden does and will do everything Grealish does, so do we need him?

For the money he'll cost you'd have to think he'll be starting, so who's place does he take?
If KDB was fit then Bernie really didn't start, so even that isn't a straight swap.

23 had 18 prem goals in season
24 had 17 prem goals in a season
25 had 20 prem goals in a season

Wtf you on about shit loads of players have scored 15 goals before the age of 25yrs in a prem season

I expressed a similar sentiment about that mantra meaning 'good at being fouled which certainly is not a 'quality' l look forward to watching no matter who does it. It night suit United and Ratface but not for me.
Yet l was told pretty quickly JG gets fouled because the opposition 'are scared of him'.
Here's me also preferring beating people and scoring but l can't say eithet that l am thrilled to watch the resultant poor free kicks, shots missing by miles or aimed at slabhead.
It seems something has passed me by during the pandemic.

Nor do i, apart from his cross ( would have been cleared by a defender if it hadn't taken a deflection) i'm struggling to see what he brings over other players.
I can see something in him and believe he could be a talent but i just don't think he does enough at this moment in time, he's constantly over hyped though and gets good press, even when he's bang average.

aye lad ,you missed my point, He has scored a total of 15 goals, hardly spectacular, It was aimed at those who believe he is the second coming rather than a prospect.

I’ve always liked him and never been able to put my finger on why. Since being linked, I’ve been trying to watch him a little closer.

  • He’s fast
  • Plays at a high tempo
  • Is direct(!)
  • Puts his foot in
  • Has good end product
  • Brings other players into things
  • Always draws a man before passing it which opens up space
  • Buys fouls in dangerous areas which would be lethal with KDB/Stones/Dias/Kane
  • He always shows for the ball and never goes hiding
  • Add to that he always praises City and KDB online which suggests he’d love to come and play for us
  • He’s dangerous every time he gets the ball which is more than can be said for others in the squad, it’ll free up room for other players if he’s getting the close attention he’ll need to be kept quiet

Personally I’d love it if he came! Especially when you consider Bernardo doesn’t want to be here and seems to be off this Summer.
