Hilarious comment after Sterling vs DenmarkIf he joins I hope he spends more time on his feet than on the deck. Not a fan of buying fouls by stepping across a player waiting for contact.

It's more the 5 year contract signed last yearVla fans pinning their hopes that jackies long association with his childhood club means he won't ever leave them, then remembering this

He will put his career choices first, and if that choice is to move on, then it will happen.
What’s the odds on Grealish being a city player start of next season? It's more the 5 year contract signed last year

Plenty of times over the years players have signed a deal and been gone a season later. A case of “you can go but do us a favour and sign this so we get more brass for you”.Yeah bit surely you accept after watching football all your life that contract and when they were signed and for how longean pretty much nowt if clubs and players are willing to do deals.
In fact with such speculation all last season that he was wanted by other clubs signing a new long term contract is natural when you are a fan of your club, means if you are sold the next year the club you love will make more money to invest on strengthening.
He could well stay at villa and if he does fair fucks to him, he could sign for us or someone else either way his 5 year contract doesn't prove what he will do either way

I don’t condone diving by anyone mate. The pen we didn’t get for the foul on Kane balanced the Sterling decision though. Grealish never seems to beat anyone just ends up looking for contact.Hilarious comment after Sterling vs Denmark
Sterling was caught on both sides when running at pace although it isn't easy to see unless you do the slow-motions.Hilarious comment after Sterling vs Denmark

"But Football Insider claim the club have been told that Grealish now have a release clause after signing a new contract at Villa Park last September."
So a lifelong rag?Lifelong United fan, not villa. Let's face it, he won't have a second thought about villa of they try and stop him going to city.
Same grealish who played Gaelic football all his life, played for Ireland throughout his underage, refused to play at senior level and switched allegiance to england? I don't begrudge him switching to England if that's what he wanted to do, it's his life and he could have a medal on Sunday because of it, and bloody good luck to him! However, it proves my point.
You're mental if you think him being from Solihull will any button of difference to him if villa block his move. If they block him, the toys will 100% be thrown out
You're here because you're worried and you should be. If there's a release clause he will be gone because I just cannot see a top club not bidding for him in that circumstance, nor him turning down the chance to exercise it. The question is though are the press reports accurate. It's the type of thing they might know because agents talk to the press deliberately to engineer better contracts.I stopped reading at Football Insider lol

So why are Villa so desperate to get him to sign another new contract just 10 months down the line? (I'm presuming that's true)I stopped reading at Football Insider lol

Rather sounds like there's a condition in there that Villa want to remove.
Same thought... but could it also be that they realise after last season about how important he is and giving him even better wages and a new deal? would be significant for their project if their star player stays after allSo why are Villa so desperate to get him to sign another new contract just 10 months down the line? My only surprise with that is why hasn't it been done already then? Release clause payment sounds simple enough to get a transfer agreed and done with, don't really get the Euros factor, Sancho's transfer also happened while he was with the England camp.Yep!! There is without doubt a clause there and i imagine city have offered if and villa have had to at least engage with grealish about wether he wants out? If its gone this far with it pretty much common knowledge now we want him then we can only assume that grealish said yes to city and the deal will get done asap.

Triggering a release clause that allows the player to speak to other clubs is probably the only simple part of any transfer. Perhaps it has been done but all 3 parties are holding to an NDA for various reasons? My only surprise with that is why hasn't it been done already then?
