you say that but ANYBODY would milk the cow if they could, he’s playing a role and getting the most he can out of it. It’s the same in any job, we as fans do t have to like it but he’s pulling the strings here regardless. The only saving grace could be his dad, an ex city player who enjoyed the time he had here (or so he says). I’m sure Erling listens and respects his fathers opinion.

Maximise your cut to an extent sure but this fella is to much for me. It is unhealthy for the game if there is a chance the agents fee starts to change transfer dynamics to much. Get a good deal for your client and you will see a nice little earner. 40mil though is just taking the piss.

Blame wouldn't be my angle here, more how it speaks about the players motives and mentality. If he is happy not moving with his agents fee being a sticking issue that comes across a bit weird. I would think Haaland would be saying to him, 40mil? fuck you on about, wind your neck in, you get paid well for your roll as it is, i am not having my future affected because of your unreasonable demands. It is not like Haaland would be on peanuts should he use another agent to facilitate the move.

Some may say that is idealistic, i think of that as a realistic attitude to have.

I’ll be giving this thread a wide birth until Kane is announced then I’ll pop back in to remind the delusional ones what I’ve told them for weeks on end.

Haaland won’t be playing for this club, Harold Kane will be. Like the blind leading the blind half of this lot bless em.

to be fair he is just hedging his bet and not saying anything we havent known for weeks ----its either Kane or Haalland and its Kane that is the top target....

Perhaps. Still though... The reality is that there isn't much difference between the 2 top clubs in terms of attraction for top players.. Frankly, the view of a top class player is ( and should be) that they'll be the one that makes the difference between the similarly rated top clubs.

So yes, if one top club wants to pay more, they definitely should be rated higher than the one who values you less.
