yes greed is a factor with most footballers and if you can get another couple of million then you take the best offer its head over your heart for most. would he like to play for city then its a yes. city win things and can go one step better in the champions league with him and win it. so its a club with all the boxes ticked

i see haaland as the best value for money between him and kane. lets be fair both would add goals to the squad.
one is a 5 year project the other 10 year project. so if your adding up the numbers then haaland would be the better option.

the stumbling block is the agent with haaland. the club and pep don't like him or want him in or around the club or having a say on one of city players
"the stumbling block is the agent", there is no guarantee that is the case, if the club really though he was the one, I am sure we would deal with Riola however much they did not want to.

No guarantee Pep or the club wants him as a player.

No guarantee the player want us, regardless of his alleged support of us.

Maybe we see the deal with fees and wages as too much of a risk.

Except we lost 3 games to them last season.
Got to lose some games. I'd rather a season of competition than running away with it. Those months from March onward make it special. I can genuinely see us and Chelsea running away with it and fighting it out to the death.

Consider this, Haaland doesn't want to play for Manchester City.

your right
its not up to us the player will have the final say. but manchester city are the best placed club for him and if you want champions league and titles for me city offer the best option

ok chelsea won the champions league last season but i don't see them winning it again very soon
maybe chelsea will want the title and push for the that but again do they have enough for the title. its a hard league and 38 game test for the top clubs and you need a good squad

Haaland won't be sold this summer to anyone. No club will pay €175m this summer.

That's just Dortmund bluffing as if it's down to them whether he goes this summer or not.

You can bet agents fees and signing-on bonus will also double if he leaves via release clause.

I doubt Dortmund will want 75m next summer when they can get a lot more this summer.....Raiola will see to that.
There's room for negotiation in that fee you mention, imo.
He'll be sold,imo,to who?....fuck knows.

It’s probably nonsense but what if Dortmund were to pay Riola handsomely this summer to get his client to sign a new deal without a release clause next summer - he can go but there will be an auction and you can have a cut of the extra we make above the present release clause? Unlikely but not impossible.

While I'd love to see Haaland at City, necessity is the mother of invention .....and all that.
Pep and his team will be smarting at those Chelsea losses. I would hope and even expect they can solve that problem by better play and strategy rather than just buying the next big thing. There is an argument to say having him in the team could make our play too predictable and we did nullify him pretty effectively against Dortmund, did we not.

from what i heard he was brought up watching city. in the last 10 year hes even comes to the games when he can.
so like you and me if manchester city was in for me it would not take much for me to sign

haaland is one of the best strikers in the world and city would be mad not to have a go at signing him
He's really, really not like you and me bud. He's a professional football player, not a fan.

You were correct with the first 3 words of your statement.

Riola and Big Alf will make a fortune either this summer or next, they won't extend with Dortmund.

How can you not want us to run away with it?

I want us to smash everyone. If we must lose games then better meaningless ones against Norwich or someone than a major rival in semis or finals.
