I don't really venture onto other club's forums but I was interested to see what they make of it and I'm actually pretty astonished how open they are about turning on him if he leaves.

Some are going on about how much they'll boo him on his return which they reckon will be devastating for him.

Now, I'm not exactly overly enamoured by the very little I've seen of him off the pitch but he's not the type to let fans in the stadium get to him, is he? It's like they forgot the time he got a smack in the face in their derby and then went on to score the winning goal.

Anyway, like I said, it's very strange over there.

I think that the fact City have not distanced themselves from a move suggests that there is definite interest from Grealish in a move.

The fact Villa have offered him a new deal shows that they are worried about him leaving the club.

That said, we’ve seen a few last minute change of heart decisions regarding transfers over the last few years. Also, with Grealish being a Villa fan, there will be more emotion involved than usual in his final decision.

I would not be surprised in the slightest if he has agreed personal terms with City but changes his mind last minute and stays at Villa.
