Nearly everyone who had one will have a 19/20 season card, if you are telling me City could not have been able for those that will strugle with mobile or e-tickets, to have their ticket uploaded to that, seeing as the technologly will be there because cup games are uploaded later.


Simple sollution and better than making people schlep to the ticket office every week of a home game.

just managed to remove all 3 cup schemes for me and my lad
for the coming season.
saved a fortune no doubt too
plus we will both get tickets for most games anyway
if we want them
especially home ones

Turned on the NFC and downloaded the Google pay app I still envisage problems at the gate though.

It does say transferring tickets is only available via the digital option so maybe the print at homes have names on that might be checked?

It should be clear after the first game then I reckon as in previous seasons the main reason to request PAH was to let someone else use your Season Card as a one off.

Whilst I hate the idea of using my phone the bigger issue for me is the lies by city at renewal, waited 4 hours in total on the phone for a 5 minute call to be told by the lad yeah no probs put you down for two cards. Caring for fans has long since died but at least they used to pretend they did.

One of the issues of outsourcing a call centre.

Some bloke on minimum wage taking wall to wall calls from potentially angry people. They‘ve just appeased you to get off the line.

One change in behaviour for me is that I'm going to be carrying my phone charger with me at all times & lecky sponging at every possible opportunity!

I had two for the Everton game on my phone. City will send a download able file and you just download to your phone so you can definitely store multiple ones though not sure if there is an upper limit to how many can be stored at anyone time though it would definitely be quite a few.

Absolutely. I bought one ages ago so my phone didn't run out of battery on the way back from games. Hence I always have it with me for matches. It easily accommodates the 6 hour round trip (plus pub & match time) with charge to spare, so like you, I'd strongly recommend it.

I just ordered a deck chair to take to the ground to collect our one off tickets.

I'll be able to hear all the shite from city square ,so ordered ear plugs too.

They've been surprisingly quite thorough with that email. Very unlike City. There's obviously going to be carnage first few games and I don't see why they need to phase out the card but we will adapt. Many people didn't want a card over a paper booklet in the last few seasons at Maine Road.

There's going to be a lot of friends and family being added this season, I noticed a few days ago how there's no confirmation or security needed to add somebody, a surname and a supporters number is all you need. Granted it makes it very easy to do but it's very open for abuse.

Why is it necessary to download a pay app if you've already paid for your season ticket?

I wondered that myself but I think this is where you transfer your season ticket too. I won't be adding any of my bank cards to the app as you say its already paid for.

My worry is that to download Google Pay App you might have to enter card details which like you I wouldn't want to do.
Have you already downloaded it without entering any card details?

I walk everywhere,to work,shopping,etc
I use public transport to City,i like a drink so wouldn't drive even if i could.

I work in the NHS and walk to work,10 to 15 minutes
I work with people who live closer to the hospital yet they still drive and pay
the car parking fee and moan about it

we just come back from liverpool for a short break
tram and train and walking from door to hotel
it can be done,easily.

Oh it can be done, but I wouldn't say 'easily'! My chosen public transport would be to get Mrs Ewing to chauffeur me to Milnrow for the to Monsall 'n walk, or train from Littleborough to Victoria and then a bus to The Etihad. All's well if the train turns up - we invariably aim for the train before the one we need and yer can get a bus on matchday. I once chose the public service option for the league cup game v Dippers. The train was cancelled so it was a bus to Rochdale, No17 stopping at every lamp post between 'Dale 'n Shudehill and I got the last football bus from Piccadilly and some yards from the ground on the main road we got into a crawl, and the bus driver wouldn't open the doors to let us off the bus until it was at the bus stop. We missed kick off, I rushed up the spiral, didn't bother with my ritual meat 'n potato pie 'n Bovril - and we lost! Two hours of a journey instead of about 40mins in the car.
