If city are trying to sign messi or not is anybody’s guess, but one thing I’m sure of is we wouldn’t be shouting it from the rooftops.

If City come out now at this early stage and say we are after him it would be ludicrous and create a media Circus never seen before

1st, if he goes PSG the press will crucify us with headlines like “ messi say to small time City”, “ messi chooses PSG knowing Pep is all going there

2nd, if City say know we after him, tomorrow headline is “oil rich City defy FFP to pay messi 1mil a week”
It will totally derail are preparation for the start of the season.
