Cue all the "big spenders beaten by a proper team" jibes............
Yep, well over £300M spent in 12 months, how long before they trot out they’re still spending the Hazard money……. ala CoutinhoAthletic report Chelsea sign Lukaku for £105 million but express report it as £97 million. Whatever the fee, does anyone seriously believe Lukaku is worth anywhere near the money we paid for Grealish, and will Chelsea be accused of destroying the game?
They could at least make them zanier if they're going to make them up.Not sure why we have to keep coming up with these imaginary headlines.
Your lack of imagination? Not sure why we have to keep coming up with these imaginary headlines.
if you can't find indignation then manufacture it.Not sure why we have to keep coming up with these imaginary headlines.
Awaits city announcing a sponsorship deal with Numan.£100m flop.
Just like the MUeN, it's nothing more than a fanzine...........The f***ing obsessed Scouse c*nts at the Liverpool Echo are at it again.(and again, and again....)
Seriously, what is it with these c*nts?!
You'd think they'd be more interested in writing about and constantly attacking their biggest rivals Manchester United, instead of Citeh!
Once again the Liverpool FC and FSG narrative about City is clear to read. And once again it's played out by the Liverpool Echo.
Anyway. No link, just the headline, and some snippets from the pile of shite written by Theo Squires.(bad Scouse tash, Theo)
- Theo joined the ECHO's sports team in 2018, having previously spent four seasons in the media team at Bolton Wanderers. He mainly provides content for our Liverpool and Everton pages.

Harry Kane will take false Pep Guardiola transfer narrative to £1bn as FSG and Liverpool limitations emerge
Pep Guardiola continues to bend the truth with Manchester City transfer spend as Liverpool and FSG watch
Pep Guardiola is being economical with the truth once again. Who knew?
Perhaps he’s not operating on the same playing field as Liverpool and the rest of City’s rivals after all. Go figure.
The reality will be arguably be a blend of the two, topped up by a rather large dabble of Emirate financial backing.
Theo then goes on to question the £60mill figure quoted by Pep and breaks down the player sales so far to disprove that figure.(remember, this is the Liverpool Echo)
Theo then goes on and on about City, and City's spending, with plenty of digs thrown in, and culminating in.......
If they sign the England captain, Guardiola will have spent over £1billion since moving to the Etihad in 2016, while his gross spend currently stands at at least £880m.
(arf!) Theo. That might leave them(Liverppol) as the side most at risk of falling out of title contention, but they know their limitations and it makes their achievements in recent years all the more impressive.
You just wonder what false narrative Guardiola will push next time when bending the truth and standing up for his ‘plucky’ side.
The full article reads like war and peace, and a constant attack on City, but more so on Pep.
As per, the article was written to appease Liverpool's cult fan base. A good day's work by Theo. Well done Theo, you plastic Scouse.....(fill in as appropriate)

Whether by bad faith or basic stupidity/incompetence, the issue of prize money is the biggest misunderstanding going when the media or uneducated rival fans talk about us being ‘backed by rich owners’.
We took in around £230m in prize money from the PL and Champions League last season alone. More than £2billion estimated since the 2008 takeover.
Not bad for a club bought for £200m or so.
The difference between City and our rivals being that our owners reinvest it all back into the club and don’t take it out.
I’ve suggested before that one of our more financially astute writers/podcasters could do a deep dive into the numbers over the years, it would be an interesting point to analyse.
Gary?Awaits city announcing a sponsorship deal with Numan.
I think this should be applied to my pension. I was never out work, qualified every season!. . . . . the biggest ££ for the "history" coefficent.. . . . . . . . . . .
Ever since it turned out to be under the feet of those pesky Arabs who don't know their place.‘large dabble (?) of Emirate financial backing’ !?!
Even if it was true, when did being lucky enough to have enormous mineral wealth under your feet, and being able to sell it to willing customers become immoral or a crime?
On the other hand, when did money laundering and financially enabling drug dealers, people traffickers, and suicide bombers and using the proceeds to sportswash your image by sponsoring club shirts become entirely acceptable and not worth a comment from our fearless crusaders for truth and justice in the media?
Players will make their choices on the basis of pay; the manager; potential for success; style of play; location of club; and many other reasons besides.
The possibility that, 3-4 years down the line, your new club might drive a hard bargain with your next club won’t figure prominently among them.
What are those top figures.Since Pep - 15/16 to 20/21 - combined PL and Europe:
£1.278 billion - City
£1.182 billion - Liverpool
£1.146 billion - Chelsea
£1.137 billion - United
Annoys me that last season United earned only about £8mil less than Liverpool despite being knocked out of CL in the group stage. They of course got a 2nd chance via the Euro League for losers and they get the biggest ££ for the "history" coefficent.
20/21 Euro TV/prize money in €mil:
Chelsea 121
City 120
Liverpool 86
United 76
